Spectacular Oceanfront Views of Depoe Bay, Spot Whales, Walk to Town and Dining!

We very much enjoyed our stay there. The views of the ocean were spectacular. The condo was well appointed and comfortable. It was walking distance to just about everything which is also great. We had a couple of minor criticisms, neither of the burners on the stove worked, but we contacted management, and they had maintenance come over later that day, and fixed it, which was great. The only other minor criticism was that exhaust fan in the ground level. Bathroom didn’t work. All and all it was a great stay.

The property itself is very nice & the view is spectacular! However, Many of the amenities listed were in disrepair. The stove never worked (they offered a hot plate), the fireplace worked the first night and didn’t work after that. The washing machine had a note on it (meaning it’s been broken for some time) stating it didn’t work. One of the windows in the bedroom had a broken handle and couldn’t be opened.The management company at first said someone would be out to fix things but no one came. The next day I was informed that we were put on the list and they didn’t know when someone would be out. Unexceptionable!After much back and forth they offered 75 refund, it should have been more like 75 per night. I’ve had issues with Meredith Lodging before, I won’t rent from them again.

In all honesty if I didn’t already have this all paid for and booked, I would have tried to find somewhere else to stay. Let’s start with the amenities offered. Washer didn’t work, staying with a baby for a week and no washer, very inconvenient to say the least. Granted we were made aware of this and did pack a few extra items for the week it also made our baggage overweight to accommodate that. So extra 100 spent to make sure we had back up outfits. Second, Fireplace (one of the main reasons we chose this place) something we very much were looking forward to using, unavailable to use the whole length of our stay. Third, the stove this is something we did NOT know wasn’t working until we tried to use it. Spent 150 on groceries for the week just to HARDLY be able to cook those groceries as the stove top did not work. We let them know 1x and they sent someone out and they said it was fixed. Went to use it after being “fixed” just to have the stove stop working again after 5 minutes. Called customer service and essentially was told “oh so sorry that unfortunate”. About 2 hours later they brought us a hot plate to us. That hot plate as well was a pain and more inconvenient to use than what it was worth honestly but we made do. So because the stove wasn’t working we had to eat out more frequently than planned. So out money for groceries and extra eating out. Fourth, furniture was a nightmare! It was awkwardly placed in the living room and we soon found out that a chair was broke

Upon arrival we encountered numerous issues, including:Significant water damage to the laminate flooring and walls in the kitchen. To the point that walking on the floor, it's obviously rotted the subfloor.Human hair balls are present on the floor.A dirty, heavily stained rug in the living room.There were no bath towels.The master bed was made with visibly dirty sheets, contained holes, and did not fit the bed properly, leaving the mattress pad exposed.The washing machine had clearly leaked, as towels had been placed underneath it to absorb water and left. The smell from the area was repulsive. A broken shower nozzle in the bathroom.An ant trap placed directly on the cooktop.The blinds in the master bedroom had been removed because they were broken and not replaced.The blinds in the living room were broken and unusable.Broken/damaged furniture throughout the living room.These conditions were unacceptable. We contacted the property management company promptly to report these concerns, but no action was taken to address or resolve any of the issues. No effort was made to make the situation right. Had we known this information before arriving, we would not have booked the condo. This condo should not be listed on VRBO, in the condition it is in. The pictures that are listed on VRBO are not an accurate description of the property.

Parking was super tight. Tiny kitchen with breaker tripping when using oven, microwave and toaster oven simultaneously. Worst was opting for late checkout to be ambushed by noise from HOA repair people and no apologies or discounts from property management. Won’t be returning.

A very nice, clean condo with gorgeous view. Very convenient parking spot. I read some of the reviews that said it’s outdated. Maybe a couple things, not troublesome at all. Some very fun mirrors throughout. And smaller bedroom has some wonderful vintage type furnishings. I certainly would recommend staying here.

The parking for this unit was odd and the curbs were difficult to manage even in my small car. We walked into the unit late in the evening to rat turds in the kitchen, living room, and stairway to the bedrooms. We swept them up only to have more the next evenings. The ad was not clear about the stairway or that the living room was sunken. This and the pealing/warped flooring covered with throw rugs made it difficult for my elderly mother to move safely around. The master bedroom did not have a curtain or blinds on the large windows which was not a problem for me as a sleep with a sleep mask but it could have been hard for someone else as there was a spot light from across the bay that shown in the window all night.The whale watching and storm watching was amazing though.

Place was dirty (did get a cleaning deposit refund) , furniture worn, ripped. No current on master bedroom window that overlooks a public seating area. Rodent traps in living room and kitchen. Exposed electrical wiring, etc, etc. Disappointing to say the least. Depoe Bay itself was great, lots of whale sightings!

No privacy in Master bedroom. NO Curtain.

The condo is in an excellent location with an unobstructed view of the ocean. Beautifully decorated and has a cozy vibe. The third bathroom is a plus. The parking is very convenient and you can also leave your car at the condo and walk to all the shops and restaurants. Possible downsides: As others have mentioned the second bedroom with the full bed has a worn mattress. Our granddaughter slept in that bedroom and found the mattress not very comfortable. Also, the flooring does need to be replaced especially in the kitchen area. The flooring would not deter us from staying there again. Overall a very nice condo unit.

The unit was clean and very functional but furniture needs upgrading. A lot of lights weren’t functional and the fireplace only worked sporadically. Kitchen floor was uneven and some teflon cookware needs to be replaced due to scratches which is unhealthy. Blinds in the bedroom did not work. We contacted the host twice about some problems but 2nd time no one showed up. That said location was perfect. Beautiful views and within walking distance to town.

We had some struggles with our check in being pushed back a few hours, but understand that happens. The place could use some updating, this is reflected in the price, but some things were just flat out broken. The upstairs bedroom window (best view in the place) has busted blinds that don’t open and one window is out of order. You can’t open it but you can open the other side so that’s not a huge deal. The second bedroom also has a broken window that doesn’t close all the way and the lamp and bed were both falling apart. The electrical is a bit wonky. Some switches do nothing or lead to open holes with wire nuts on exposed wires. The laminate wood floors will get you if you are walking barefoot so sock up. BUT, If you are hoping for amazing views of the whales and to listen to the ocean waves as you fall asleep, you will get both! Just note that you will also have quite a bit of road noise and not quite a full view of the bay. We did see whales!!

The big issue with this home is the 2nd bedroom room mattress that clearly needed to be replaced, it’s old and worn out. We brought this up immediately with the property manager and was offered an air mattress. For the price, it was unacceptable. Something basic for a vacation rental to have a decent mattress. Doesn’t matter on firmness but should have a mattress that is not worn out. Rest of the house was fine but could use some updating, good view. I would not recommend for the reason of it lacked a bed that could be slept on.

Our stay at the oceanfront condo was nothing short of magical. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with breathtaking views of the Pacific that seemed to stretch endlessly in both directions. The condo itself had a warm, inviting feel that made us feel instantly at home—clean, thoughtfully decorated, and incredibly well-stocked with everything we needed.Depoe Bay offered just the right balance of charm and activity—enough to explore without ever feeling rushed. We especially loved strolling the scenic walking paths, where every turn seemed to offer a postcard-worthy view or a quiet moment of reflection by the sea.A perfect escape that fed both our sense of adventure and our need to unwind.

Communication, check-in, cleanliness, and check-out was great. Very welcoming condo with great views and an easy walk to town. I highly recommend considering this location.

Amazing view of Depoe Bay. Overall, we had a good time. The location is great and we were able to get some glimpses of the whales. The only issue we had was the stove did not work properly. The stove needs to be replaced. If you plan on cooking, you may want to check to see if stove has been repaired/replaced.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this condo. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
