Anini Beach: Snorkeling & Sea Turtle Tips: Anini Beach is home to Hawaii’s longest and widest fringing reef, creating a vast, shallow lagoon that is nearly always calm—perfect for beginner snorkelers and spotting our beloved Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles (Honu). Turtles are most often found in the shallow, sandy areas where they graze on lush sea grass. For the best visibility, go in the early morning before the winds pick up and stir the sediment.
• Sea turtles are a threatened species and are strictly protected by state and federal law. To ensure they stay safe (and you avoid fines up to $1,500+) always stay at least 10 feet (3 meters) away from turtles, whether in the water or on the sand. Never touch, feed, or chase a turtle. If one swims toward you, stay still and let it pass.
• Always use Reef-Safe Sunscreen. Traditional sunscreens contain chemicals that bleach and kill the delicate coral reef.
• Safety First: Stay within the reef, in the protected shallow areas. And never snorkel alone, always have a buddy and keep an eye on each other.

    We have stayed in Princeville many times in different rental properties.Princeville as a location is great. Compared to previous stays we were a little less impressed with this property. Overall the place was very clean, spacious, and the 3 sleeping spaces were perfect for 2 adults and 2 teenage kids. The communal swimming pool is quite small compared to the other properties in the area. At this specific rental, the outdoor furniture was rusty and broken, so no breakfasts outside were possible. The dryer was broken when we arrived (but was fixed after 3 days). We experienced some heavy rain showers, and the property roof had a small leak that left the inside stairs damp.The management company was quite friendly and helpful. It may well be that the next renters see none of these issues.

    Rating Details: The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The exterior and condo community the unit is a part of feels tired and dated. The location is good. Inside the amenities are good, although the lack of air conditioning is a bit disappointing. There are fans to keep cool, but AC would feel nicer.

    Our family and friends enjoyed our stay here! The home was perfect for our needs. It was clean, spacious, and comfy. Very close to shopping and restaurants. Management was very communicative and friendly. I appreciated their hospitality and willingness to help with tours. The weather was humid but the house had a lot of fans so it kept us cool. The pool was close by and we had fun using it. The only downside was that the walkway to the home was being redone. This meant there were rocks, gravel, and exposed wood beams that we had to step over. It made it challenging to walk. I’m not sure if management knew that was happening or not.

Comfortably sleeps 4, 6 Ok if smaller kids in the loft. Plenty of towels and beach stuff. Good water pressure in the shower. Cons-we arrived and the sidewalks were being replaced. Made a little challenging to get to the condo. All the rooms seemed big enough for king beds but they went small. No parking pass could be found so we had to make our own. Bathroom doors upstairs were hard to crazy hard to figure out.Overall OK place. We would stay again.

    The property was clean, easy to access, and had solid ammenities for our week long stay including sufficient dishes, washer/dryer, and more. I cannot stress enough that you need to bring earplugs. This was my 5th stay on the island and had the absolute loudest roosters. I think they are nesting very close to the windows and start crowing around 2am.

    Overall this was a good place to stay. The ad says 3rd bedroom in a loft area, this is NOT a room. It is just an open loft with a bed. The pictures on the listing also were angled so you couldn’t really tell. Other than that and the showers could use a good scrub down, this place was nice.

    For our large group the condo was roomy. No air conditioning, but plenty of fans. Quiet and private. Right next to the pool, but the pool noise was not bothersome. I enjoyed the daily short walk to the beach, though it’s a good hike back up the hill and definitely take a walking stick that’s provided by the property. Available are beach chairs, snorkels, boards. The location is quite the drive from other parts of the island. That was the main displeasure, the drive to our booked adventures.

    First time to Hawaii and Kauai. Property was clean and nice. Property manager seemed decent, but no interaction was required. Check in process was smooth and streamlined. We had a great time and would happily come back in the future. Great access to local market, and multiple beaches.
