The Experience

A hand-painted sign by the front door reads Hummingbird Alley, 5A, and it's the first hint that this place has some personality. You'll climb one short flight of stairs up from the parking area (your reserved space is right there) to reach the front door, and from the moment you step inside, the vaulted wood ceilings and wall of windows pull your eye straight to the mountains across the valley. Southwestern textiles and local art fill the walls, the kind of details that make a condo feel more like a mountain home.

The kitchen, dining, and living room all open into one another beneath those same peaked, beamed ceilings, with a round table that seats the whole group for dinner. Slide the doors open to the balcony and you're grilling with a direct line of sight to the slopes in the distance, with the community pool tucked into the trees below. It's an easy space to cook in, linger in, and watch the light change over the mountains from.

Upstairs, the loft bedroom is its own kind of retreat: a king bed under a sloped, beamed ceiling with low windows on either side. It's a lovely spot for a couple who wants a little separation from the main floor. The full size bedroom, on the main level, is a private bedroom, with a big arched window over the valley. The third bedroom, with two twin beds, works well for kids or two adults and sits just off the entry.

Snowmass Village itself is right outside your door, lifts, trails, and restaurants all within easy reach via the local shuttle, and with one assigned parking space and in-unit laundry, this is a place built for settling in and enjoying the combination of convenience and tranquility. Whether you're skiing in winter or hiking those green hillsides in summer, 5A gives you a comfortable, character-filled home base to come back to at the end of the day.

This was a very convenient condo with walkable access to grocery and other stores, shuttle bus to hill right outside the door, easy walk to Aspen bus actually a relatively easy ski back from the bottom of fanny hilll as long as snow on the footbridge held out. I wouild consider this condo a very good value for it's location.

Spacious and so comfortable. Loved having extra blankets to cozy up on the couch for evening movies & kitchen and living area terrific. The location to the mountain excellent along with the free shuttle to the base and the village mall to get right on the slopes in just a few minutes.

Dated condo but had everything we needed. It is a clean, ground floor unit with ski locker right outside the unit door. Hot tub and other amenities were great. Bring quarters for the laundry. If the owner would resupply the kitchen, it would be so much easier. Nothing matches so it was hard to find what was needed. Put plastic cups in the unit to take to the hot tub. Clark's is a very short walk up the hill. Cross the bridge over to Assay Hill lift.

This was an outstanding option for us during the Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic in Snowmass. No problems at all while here. Looking to possibly book these for our participants next year.

We had three great days of skiing at Aspen-Snowmass! Shuttle bus stopped right in front of the condo. At the end of our ski day we could ski back and walk about 100 yards to the condo. All of the appliances enabled us to make our own breakfasts and dinners. The WiFi worked well. Some of the faucets in the master bathroom needed repair and the dining room chairs were a bit wobbly, but overall this condo served our modest needs well.

Basically, we knew what we were getting into. Good location next to the village shuttle stop (right outside front door). Easy parking, and walkable hot tub. Condo is dated, and some furniture is wobbly or slightly broken. A very nice gas fire place for ambiance, and plenty of room for our 4. Kitchen did have an odd assortment, but we didn’t do much cooking beyond breakfast and frozen pizza, so didn’t bother us. Didn’t have any “manual” or such thing, so we had to figure out how to work everything ourselves, that was annoying. Heat worked just fine for us. Overall, compared to other properties available at the time we booked, we felt like we got what we were expecting and didn’t want to pay 3x for the others. I’d look to book earlier next time to have more choices, but all things considered this was acceptable.

beds were not super comfortable and it was clear the sofa bed had not been stripped pro There were cigarettes out on the balcony and a lot of cracks in the countertops. Overall it met our needs and Vacasa was very well communicative.
