'Slopeside Lodge' - Watch Skiers from the Couch!

I liked the location and that it is a first floor condo. That was nice for access to the slopes. Expect loud foot steps above you though. This place had what we neeeded, a kitchen and washing machine and dryer as well as room for 6 to sleep. This unit needs some updating and maintenance as well as better dishes for cooking.

Great location and very cozy. The unit little outdated but it fit the cozy cabin vibe. Would definitely come back!

The place was awesome. Larger than I expected. Great location beside the ski slope and lodge. The scenery was great and entertaining (watching skiers). The condo was clean and well decorated. We enjoyed the gas fireplace and it was easy and safe to use. I will stay here again for future trips to Sugar Mountain.

Owner withdrew property after my rental initiated. Substitute property offered by rental Co. It was fine, but not air conditioned. Worked out okay. Love the area and Grandfather Mountain is amazing.

It needs a deep thorough cleaning. Carpet dirty. Pots and pans rusted. Entrance is through a plywood walled room that was dirty and had a bad musty smell as did the entire condo. The entire place is in original condition built and furnished in the 70’s. Bulbs burnt in light fixtures. If it was a steal of a deal I wouldn’t complain as I never have given a negative review here. But this was way overpriced. Look closely at the pictures as most were not accurate. I will not return.

The cost of the lodging was significant, not terrible but significant for 2 nights and we needed to be out with keys to office by 10 am on checkout day. Seems a bit tight, could be noon and so much better. Also have to carry out all trash for the amount we paid and for cleaning this shouldn't be the case. Location great, people nice.

The condo was clean (it could use a good bit of updating) but overall we were there for the skiing and it was great!
