Overall we had a fine stay. Positives: the condo was very clean, and in a great location on the mountain with a short (5 minute) walk through the woods to the top of the Plaza chairlift (which didn't always run, but the unit can be accessed from other lifts via the Upper Thruway trail to Plaza). The sheets and towels were very clean and new. Excellent wifi allowed us to stream TV with a Firestick we brought (provided cable included maybe 6 channels). However, there were some issues: Upon arrival, we located the lockbox easily. However, the unit is not marked at either entry. We used process of elimination, but it was an unnecessary frustration. Just label the unit! As of March 2023, the fireplace still does not work. Previous renters have noted this as far back as Feb 2022, yet it is still listed as a feature. When we reported it to Vacasa, they had no workable fix. This felt somewhat dishonest. A working fireplace would have been nice. Just get it fixed already! There was no apparent ski locker available with this rental unit. While the key did unlock a locker, a sign inside it indicated that it belonged to another unit and that we were not to use it. For a property marketed as ski in ski out this is somewhat important info. We carried our skis up the stairs and kept them in the hallway outside our door. No one said anything, but not sure if that's officially allowed. We received no info from Vacasa on how to access the condo compound's game room (Ping Pong) or shared pool. And, they could not tell us where to place our garbage. We eventually figured this one out on our own. A few other things to be aware of: the bedrooms are very small and chilly. There was only one extra blanket available for all 3 bedrooms. And all the comforters currently on the beds are very old, and it was unclear if they are washed after every rental. A few extra blankets and newer comforters would have been a nice touch. There was also no traditional coffee maker in the kitchen. There is a Keurig machine, however no pods were provided. This is not noted on the unit description. Most people (including myself) probably bring ground coffee to a rental and there's no way to know you need a specific brand of coffee pod. Essentially, once we gained entry we felt like we were basically on our own. Vacasa responded eventually, but didn't seem too familiar with the property and provided no personal touch. A few simple changes would have made this an outstanding stay.
Ski in/out location is great. We came up just in time for the recent snow so great weekend. Living space is very comfortable. Everyone in the building was friendly. Check in and the space was easy to figure out. Just a few things to improve— Fireplace wasn’t working No coffee — had a keurig machine but no kcups. We had coffee but no coffee maker or French press. Things we’re pretty clean just could have used a once over between the cushions and under the furniture, if you know what I mean.
Enjoyed our stay!
The condo had dirty spots in the carpet and there was black mold in the shower/bath which we cleaned by purchasing some bleach. There were 2 broken chairs , one in each bedroom and although the listing said cable TV, the Cable TV only had 6 channels you could watch.
We had a lovely stay at this condo, whose location cannot be topped. They had great games for all of us to play. In the master bedroom downstairs it was really cold at night. We had to borrow blankets from a friend who lives nearby. The condo could use a deep clean, but other than that it was great!
