Ski in / ski out family friendly condo w/access to pool, hot tub & game room

We had a lovely stay at the Iron Horse in Winter Park. The condo aesthetic is dated (exactly as the photos are shown), but it is still charming and very clean. The instructions for check in and out were very clear and easy. Unfortunately, the hot tub was under maintenance while we were there but there was still a warm pool available if desired. The condo facilities were very nice and clean, and it was very quiet. The access to the mountain is a very short walk right behind the condo, and the ski run that connected us to the base could be seen from our room. Overall good experience!

The place is cozy and has everything you need. The hot tub and pool are very nice. My place did smell like someone smoked in there though.

Very clean unit, great communication with host, beds are extremely comfortable including the murphy bed.

Unit smelled of curry; had to one door to vent but could not get rid of the smell the entire stay. Paint peeing and black mold behind the toilet. 2 open junction boxes in the unit presenting a fire hazard and shock danger.Stayed in Iron Horse many times before. This unit should be avoided.

Great condition, excellent location and amenities, would happily return

We enjoyed our stay at the Iron Horse. The unit was able to accommodate our family and the murphy bed made the space more comfortable during waking hours. We took full advantage of the indoor walkway to the ski slope access, which was very convenient. The hot tub and pool were a great place to wind down after long days on the slopes. Everything was clean. Parking was a breeze.

Great location for skiing -- true ski in/out. Underground parking was nice. Host communicated well. Digital locks made access easy.

Key code to enter was a bit confusing. The game room code didn't work at 8pm. We talked with 3 other people staying in different rooms, they had the same problem. The condo is run down and nothing fancy at all.Old and worn out everything.

Stayed here for 2 nights over July 4th. It was surprisingly quiet for a holiday weekend. We weren’t in the house much, but it was a good place to shower and sleep. Pretty close to town. Overall a nice home base for adventures in the area.

This was our first trip to Winter Park, so we didn't know what to expect. Iron Horse was in a great location to access the gondola. Our son was a bit bummed that the pool wasn't operational, but the unit was clean and comfortable--good for a family of 3.

If you'd like to go back to the 70's stay here. The unit is pretty dated, everything from the old electric stove to the refrigerator that froze our food to a dishwasher there's no way you can run while you're home - it's sooo loud!

Great stay in Winter Park. Ski in and ski out, but map out your ski out carefully. Comfortable sleeping arrangements as listed- queen bed in bedroom, queen murphy bed, and full size pull out couch. Loved being able to come home easily from the slopes for lunch. Enjoyed the hot tub each day after skiing. Easy walk to the base if you aren't skiing. Loved the covered parking. Quick drive to town for more dining options. Communication was quick and easy. Very easy to park and get into the condo.

We loved this clean, comfortable, amazingly located Condo. It had everything we needed and wanted!

We have stayed at iron horse before and the location is great. But this unit really could use some simple things that would so some pride and respect for the price people are paying to be there that would be very inexpensive. A set of kitchen knives for food prep, a Roku or Google tv to let people stream, a set of glasses of reasonable size. It doesn’t take much to make a guest feel comfortable but this place felt like no one cared. If I was the property manager I would make the owner invest a small amount. As a vrbo owner ourselves we understand value and this was just thoughtless.

The unit is very clean and accommodating. Proximity and access to mountain is great. I love this building and the unit was also wonderful. Would stay again and recommend.

This is not an issue necessarily, there’s just no one at the desk to ask questions about the area. Check in and check out was very easy. We did have some issues with the actual unit - C 2103. Kate from the management company was very friendly and helpful. It was very warm the day we got there and only one window opened. She had a maintenance guy out that evening to help us. If you are a warm person, this may not be the unit for you. There is not much breeze and does not cool down much at night - no A/C. Fans are provided, so does help.The ice machine in the fridge doesn’t work - ice cube trays provided but no ice machine on site. So if you need ice that first night - stop in town and pick some up.The toilet was an issue. It didn’t always want to flush. I was told they would look into it and it should be fixed for the next renters. Overall our start was good. That unit was still a fairly good value for the area.
