My husband, our almost 2 year old son and I had a wonderful time! Location was great. Check in was easy. Property was clean!
This condo was perfect for our vacation! We had some air conditioning issues and the owners were super responsive and took care of everything right away, far exceeding our expectations. The condo was perfect for our family of 4. The boys loved the bunk beds and the Xbox. The kitchen was really nice and had everything we needed. The walk to the beach was easy and short, and it is so nice of the owners to leave chairs and toys to use. The pools at the complex are really nice and usually not crowded. We loved St. Augustine all together and will definitely be back! We would 100% rent this place again!!!
Can’t beat this location. Hosts were very responsive. Fridge broke 4th of July morning and while they couldn’t get anyone out there, they did say they would refund us a portion of our stay. Great value.
This condo was awesome especially for a family. The kitchen is huge and has so much counter space. It’s super clean and the owners supply you with paper towels toilet paper coffee plenty of towels. They had plenty of beach stuff on the porch to play with too. The beds were very comfy and the master bathroom was very spacious. We enjoyed our stay very much. We will definitely be coming back.
easy check in, clean place, host very easy to message and quick responses. I will say building I is located further away from the beach than we tesized but a short walk through the complex.
We were very happy with our stay and have stayed at other condos in the same complex before and this by far was the nicest and fully stocked with every we needed.
This location was such an amazing balance for our needs, beach within walking distance, multiple pool options, and hosts that were so easy to communicate with. We had such a great time we will be looking to stay again next year. Great time!
Great email communication from host. Easy walk to the beach mainly over wooden boardwalk. Loved the rooftop patio for morning coffee!
Overall a great stay and property and location. The building themselves are not well marked so initial locating the condo was challenging especially when the entry door to the hall way was not marked and I was unsure if that door was an condo door and would get shot upon entry. Accessing the condo itself once I located and had the keys in hand was also challenging as the hallway entry door you have to twist and turn the handle and wiggle and turn the key to get the lock to unlock. Once inside then trying to use the separate patio door key revealed that this key simply does not operate that lock. But hey the place was great but do watch the master bedroom bed posts at the foot of the bed as they are turned outward and the feet posts are real toe stubbers. We set a bag in front of them to remind us so as to not ruin our vacation with any broken toes. Our daughter and son-in-law stayed in another condo about two miles down the beach and we had the three grandsons with us and they enjoyed the split level bunk bed with a pullout on the bottom for the little one, the regular level bed for the middle grandson and the top bunk for the oldest grandson up on top. They had a blast at the beach. And I totally never even knew that there was a roof top patio available so I never even went up there. Definitely would rebook again. And to say the least I even tried my hand with the X-box but didn't have too much luck. But this is the first VRBO that I ever stayed in that had an X-box. So kudos to the host. I do suggest that if you use the X-box that you don't forget to delete your profile from it before you leave, that thing had like 30 profiles on it from prior users. OMG no need to bring towels, they had so many towels!! We did bring along our air fryer from home but that is nothing against the condo, just a suggestion if you are going to stay there for an extended period and won't be eating out a lot like we did. Nice touch in the bookcase was a book on Florida's sea shells and that fit right in with the Shell Shack theme. The wi-fi was good and fast as well. So enjoy your stay as we did.
We underestimated how convenient the patio is to the parking space. We loved this feature! We used the heated pool. We used rooftop deck at night & loved the boardwalk to the beach.
Overall we enjoyed the stay and condo. The grounds and pools great. I did discover when going to dry towels and swim ware that towels were left by cleaning people in the washer that had been washed and then the mattress cover for that bed was in the dryer still, might want to address that with the cleaners. The couch was not comfortable at all, batteries in one of the remotes were dead and i didnt have any. Last we had no dishwasher detergent to clean dishes had to borrow one to clean. Otherwise a good place to visit. May want to upgrade the furniture a bit. Thanks for having us
We had a great stay! The bunk beds with trundle were perfect for my kids, although the oldest decided to sleep on the pull out sofa. Beds were comfy and condo was much brighter and cleaner (& renovated?) than the units my other family members were staying in
Very nice condo in one of the best areas close to Butler Beach. I highly recommend this property to everyone!
We loved our stay at The Shell Shack! The property is located next to Butler Beach which is a beautiful, clean beach. It was easy to access the beach. The pools on the property are clean and well maintained. The Shell Shack is spacious and fully stocked with everything you need, including a couple beach towels, beach chairs and umbrella. We loved having ground floor access with the car parked right outside the patio. There are bushes that give you privacy on the patio and we enjoyed just relaxing outside on the couch and chairs. It is an easy drive to downtown St Augustine and there is a Winn Dixie and Publix just 5 minutes down A1A. Kyle & Jessica were easy to work with and definitely provide a great vacation spot!
Great place, very pretty, organized and clean. Lots to do. Beach was amazing
