Laid back for the last weekend before Labor Day

There are a couple of reasons why I’m giving this place three stars. First and foremost: ants. They were everywhere—on the floor, in the carpet, even on the furniture. At one point, the blanket fell off the bed and when I picked it up, it had ants on it. It was really uncomfortable, and I feel like this is something that should be under control with proper pest management. Second, the home really needs to be updated. It felt a bit worn down, and while it was still functional, the overall condition took away from the experience. I’ve stayed in a few other condos in Schuss Mountain for other trips and they were great, so with some attention to pest control and a few updates, this place could be a much more enjoyable stay.

The bed was small for 2 people and uncomfortable. Its old needs new bed and a little bigger to fit 2 ppl .

Could not find property, given inadequate directions. The look on the Condo would lock. Communication with the property manager did not solve the problem. We had to leave it unlocked through out our weekend. Overall it put a dark cloud on the trip especially on Friday. It was constant since our room was never locked when we were out. Very dissatisfied.

The condo was super clean and stocked with everything we needed. Great location for attending the Cherry Festival!

Property was nice and clean. I liked how there was a grill and a porch that overlooked the 18th green. Fun place.

This condo was very clean and the perfect size for my husband and I. The setting was beautiful and quiet. We will most certainly be planning a trip back.

Super clean , very nice atmosphere ! We just love it up here and this is our 3rd time and each time we stay in a different condo and they have all be wonderful !

Love staying at shanty creek. Over cleanliness could have been improved. Noticed dust on most surfaces especially under the couch and on side tables.

This place was close to the slopes but unfortunately it was farther from.the parking lot than the listing made it sound and there was so much snow that there was only space for about 4 to 5 cars for more than one building. The photos made the unit look much larger than it was and we didnt have the space to use the sleeper sofa for our 2 kids. There was not any place to even hang our gear to all dry before the next day. I feel the owners should stay there and look at things like paint chips or dry wall repair and such. Just appeared to need some TLC compared to other places we stayed. All our gear ended up piled pn the floor. Not a great place to tuck anything. Also the lights in the bathroom need to be checked as they would only work sometimes.

We wanted an affordable, simple place to stay for a 3 day ski trip. This place was a good fit for those reasons. We had 2 adults and 2 kids under 11 and it worked out just fine for us.

I had a death in the family i had to make an unexpected trip for. Was very pleased at tge accommodations. I may need to come back in a few weeks to settle up more of the estate and funeral proceedings. Hope it will be available again! My only issue is the tv remotes need new batteries.

It was a perfect size for my dad and I, he had the bedroom and I had to pull our couch. Was in with reasonable distance of most attractions

All and all it was great. The listing should delete the info about the pool sights providing towels, as they no longer do. Helps “to know” to bring beach towels - when you pack.

Not putting a summary

My husband and I were looking for a place to get away for a few nights. The condo is small, but ideal for two people who are looking to be out and about and enjoy all that northern Michigan has to offer.
