Sandestin Beachside II Oasis

Host was very responsive and detailed. Excellent choice for a Born Day weekend getaway. Fully Efficient with a wonderful view that was needed due to cold weather.

The room was super clean and a fantastic balcony and view. Pool and hot tub were very clean and nice as well. Thanks for hosting us!

Overall I was pleased. It was nice having the beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels. For the price it was worth it . I thought the view was good. Not private at all though. The shades were broken so we couldn't close them. The 30 balcanies on the west side of our building could seey laying in bed. I wouldn't want to stay a week here, but two nights was ok. I had to wash the sheets.. I felt like they looked dirty, as in maybe folded on a dirty couch or maybe even touched the floor. I don't think they didn't look slept in, but there were small little hairs in them. The skillets were all Teflon and had been used a lot and was chipping off. and I did not feel comfortable cooking with them. There was a hole in the bottom of the reusable coffee filter. There was only one towel for the kitchen and no paper towels.

Perfect for a quick stay. Super easy, and nice amenities.

The condo was nice, comfortable bed and convenient to the beach. Loved the property and amenities available. We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The only issue, which was not the host fault, but facilities, that is cleanliness. It appeared the cleaning staff just did the minimal to check the box; did not appear towel/wash rags were washed and yes, towel, there was only one (re-washed them ourselves and went to the store to buy a 2nd towel). Also there was a lot of sand on the condo floor. I understand the condo is at the beach, but I expect a clean floor when I first arrive, not a sandy floor when I haven’t been on the beach yet. That being said, the kitchen and bathroom were clean, no concerns there, just the floors and lack of clean towels/washcloths. Again we had a great time and any interaction with the host was pleasant and timely. I would book again, but the facility staff need to improve on cleaning especially feeling the host is paying for that service.

Great location and a beautiful beach!! Price was great. Not the most modern but it was clean and comfortable and had all the amenities we needed! Loved sitting on the porch and looking at the water.

We arrived to dirty towels on the floor, an unmade bed, and an uncleaned kitchen.The view was great, but was overshadowed by the busted shower handle we soon discovered in the bathroom.The owner said cleaning would happen the next day, and we could still use the shower (by tugging the gooey electrical tape in different directions to control the water flow and temperature).We decided to call VRBO corporate. We were unable to come to a resolution to fix the problems with this unit and we relocated to another property.

We have stayed at Hilton next door forany years but I wanted a kitchen. Everything about the age of the furniture is true, but even the worn fixtures, pans and furnishings do not detract from the view and the amenities. It is worn, but clean and value for the price with a hotel next door going for more than twice this. I broughty Swiffer because the broom just doesn't get the sand all the way up, and u will track it in. Pack a good pan, a mop, and an open mind and you won't be sorry

The property was great being directly on the beach. The unit itself definitely needs updating and honestly, a good deep clean. Other than that, it was well-worth the money.

Very sad about everything. The pictures on VRBO are not accurate! The furniture is worn, old and possible purchased at yard sales. The king bed mattress was worn out and uncomfortable. Entire condo is 25 years old. It needs painting. The sliding glass doors need fixing. The glass is very dirty. The blinds need to be replaced. They are very difficult to open and close.Kitchen has very little light. Cabinets are original and the finish is peeling off. The stove top is rusty the oven has baked on grease. When baking the smoke alarm sounds off the minute you open the oven. The burners are bent and smoke when in use. The bathroom is very dangerous. Tub is a step over with a round bottom. There is no grip bar. Tiles are cracked where the wall meets the ceiling.The toilet runs constantly which is noisy and a waste of water. When we informed VRBO we were refunded a portion of our payment. We were told we could stay in the condo. We received a call from the host telling us to vacate immediately a new guest was coming to use the Condo. We left after the phone call. Please believe me I am a disabled Army Veteran and I am stating the truth.

The furnishings and window treatments are in dire need of replacement. The unit desperately needs updating. Small water heater resulted in cold shower and, the dryer had a lot of the ceramic coat worn off- leaving exposed, rust color metal.

Very nice view of the gulf. The grounds were beautiful. Easy to get to places.

The location is excellent (if you park on the second level, you will be very close to the condo for loading / unloading). The view is great, the room is comfortable and well-stocked and plenty of room for a family or couple. The new pool is really fun. Being steps from the beach is the best, and there's plenty to do and eat close by. Communication was lacking, we received the wrong codes for entry onto the property, beach and pool and it was almost 24 hours to get a response from the host- luckily the door code worked and others on property helped us get in in the meantime. The condo could benefit from a deep clean / air filter change.

I was refunded a night due to miscommunication of cleaning. The condo is in an ideal area, BUT VERY outdated! I had to use one of the blankets on the sliding door to my balcony just to get a goodnights sleep. Dressers, blinds & shower faucet need replaced asap!

My stay was nice. The only thing I would add is a better lock on the door instead of the chain lock. If someone wanted to kick the door in, they can do so easily. Also add a microwave cover.

This is the ideal condo. We LOVED it here! We will be back.

It was not a great experience! The room wasn't clean. Confetti and hair ties on the floor and hair on the sheet. Messaged host and no response so we found extra sheets in the closet, washed them and changed all of the bedding. The listing also listed that we had access the tram transportation on the property.-this was not the case. Ended up calling VRBO because we were stranded and host's vm was full so we couldn't leave a message. VRBO put us in contact with host and he told me that I wasn't being honest and that his property is always rated excellent in cleanliness. He explained we should have tram passes and would bring them over (and a parking pass because one wasn't left and we didn't want to get charged). He also told me to contact his hostess. She was not even polite. She gave us wrong information and told us we were not getting the tram passes bc hosts contract changed. She told me to rent a golf cart. The property does not allow you to rent golf carts from outside sources (there are also signs all over the property stating this). So we were stuck taking an Uber when we didn't plan for it. The 2nd night, my daughter woke me up in a panic at 2am because there were cockroaches in the bathroom. Killed those things quickly! The 2 out of the 3 chairs and umbrella provided by the host were completely rusted and broken. This was my first stay with VRBO and I was very disappointed...not with VRBO but with the host. Just an awful experience all around.

Nice view of the beach. Beautiful pool. Easy access to the beach. Great condo for a couple getaway or girls trip. More towels and washcloths would have been nice. We had 1 each for a 3 night stay. Had to wash them everyday.

Beautiful property however the condo was outdated and filthy! No cleaning behind furniture had been completed in a long time dirt on ceiling hanging as you look up from bed. Baseboard last were black dirty hand pints on walls. Place had a beautiful ocean view but the glass was so dirty you couldn’t enjoy it! We were exhausted as our plane was delayed and we arrived a day late but both my daughter and I decided we could not sleep in the dirtiness of this condo! We spent our day at the beach and pool which is beautiful used the shower and left! I spent more money to find a new place to stay! Very disappointed. I did reach out with concerns but got no response except thank you for letting us know

We can’t wait to come back! It was a very nice stay. Great condo, in a great location, on a spectacular section of the beach. Beautiful view of the beach from the room. The condo was clean and stocked with the necessary items. The Sandestin community was very nice! We appreciated the parking pass and wristbands to access the pool and other facilities. Thank you for the great stay! We can’t wait to come back.

Great location. Easy access from parking. Equipped kitchen. Bed was comfortable. Unit needs updating. Bathroom tub drains very slowly while showering. Bathroom sink leaks. Sliding door to balcony is a problem since that side of blinds doesn’t work. Front door did not seem secure with just a security chain. Did not know the pool was not finished so unavailable. Very crowded beach.

This was the perfect condo for our family to enjoy a vacation ON the beach at an affordable rate! It is true the building pool was under construction during our stay however we were able to use the pool right next it, so it was no problem at all. The beach access was so close and we truly enjoyed our stay! We will be back!

Great location, perfect amount of room for 4 people and clean, we enjoyed our stay and will be renting again in the future.

The host gave us the wrong/outdated passcode for gate and pool access, so we couldn't check in until 6:00 and were not recompensed. It wasn't easy to communicate with the host. The place was okay.

It was everything I needed for our stay Using other pool was not even an issue. Did not even hear any construction we had a wonderful week and for being so close to beach I would highly recommend for small party 2 to 3 is not to crowded I would surely book again

Property was convenient to the art show I was doing. There was construction but the beach was nice. My Vrbo app kept saying there was a problem on their end when I tried to find out where the car pass and bracelets were. If mattresses had a topper I would have given 5 stars It wasn’t comfortable.

We were here for 3 nights and it was a great stay! Super clean and great location/distance from the beach. There was some construction going on but we did not hear it and it did not affect our stay at all. The host was super communicative and very helpful. I recommend staying here 100% you wont be disappointed.

Great place to stay great neighborhood

We enjoyed our stay at the property but did not know before going that there was no pool (they are putting in a new one) and there was outside construction and painting going on so several of our windows were covered in plastic and the windows/door to the balcony was filthy so that really messed up the view. Some of the furnishings were pretty worn. But the host answered quickly when we could not get in the gate, we were emailed the wrong code.

Loved the location and had a great view! Quick walk to the beach with great food and drinks within walking distance! Would definitely return!

I wish I would have known about the construction. It was literally outside our door and patio. I couldn’t sit on patio during the day due to the construction. Everything worked but the unit is need of some updating. The bed was really nice and that’s probably the most important.

The wife and I enjoyed our stay

My husband and I enjoyed our mini vacay for my birthday. The property was exactly how it was listed and the minor issues we encountered were handle in a very timely matter. I will defiantly be staying here again in the near future.

We enjoyed our little weekend get away!! There was an issue on the first night but had very response and was taken care of. The night of our stay I notice the AC wasn’t working but was too late to contact anyone. Overall it was a great weekend and the condo was the perfect size for my husband and myself!!

Husband and I came here from a very busy conference and had a really nice time relaxing here. Having the kitchen was handy so we didn’t have to eat out! We would stay here again. Thanks for the cute stopping spot! I would recommend that the floors be mopped, cause my feet kept getting dirty between the shower and bed is all

Great place but there were cockroaches. Very alive ones. I would have been ok with dead ones because that means they’re being treated (I am from this area of Florida so I know they are everywhere) but the fact that they were alive and there were multiple meant I was unable to sleep.
