Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were pleasantly surprised at the improvements in the condo: All new kitchen appliances and new living room couches! Now, if the mattresses could be replaced by next summer, it would be almost perfect! The Garden City staff were pleasant and helpful. We had a great stay and will come back again next year!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall it was a good stay. Spacious enough for four of us and it slept 8. I was a little disappointed in a couple of things. The floors had not been cleaned after previous guests and before we entered at 4:00. The sliding door became too hard to open but we put some olive oil on it and cleaned it up so it would slide more efficiently. No low dryer for hair. I loved the fact it slept 8 with 2.5 baths. The one thing I really dislike with no fault of the owners is parking and entering the same ramp used for cars coming down. That can cause frustration. We had a good week but the parking situation is a big no for future stays.

It was generally fairly quiet. No people randomly screaming late at night. Easy access to pier a half mile away. Very close to murrells inlet for pirate cruise and plenty of good places to eat nearby that were reasonably priced. Also cool arcade at the pier for kids and fishing as well.

The biggest complaint we had is the lack of communication concerning repair and service people appointments. The last two years we've rented, we have had several repair people just appear with no warning, knock, and if we don't get to the door immediately, they all just unlock our door and come in! That needs changed! It is very unsafe and unsettling to realize other people have keys to your rental. My cell number is on file and we should have been made aware these people were on their way. Otherwise, our experience was great.

The condo was no different from other condos in the same building. We did enjoy our view of the marshland from this particular unit. I was disappointed by the dust bunnies and lint left beside the bed. We had to go to the store immediately upon our arrival as there was not any toilet paper in the 3 bathrooms. Also missing was soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. In the kitchen, there was not any dish detergent. The bed in the first bedroom was very stiff and made loud noises with every move. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will return to Royal Gardens. However, I would not spend the extra money on a Penthouse.

Just turning over the mattresses were noisy! Don't sleep well in either room because of this issue. We have stayed in this condo and never had that issue. They must have changed things since last year when we stayed in this condo.

The inside was marked up with black streaks on the door facings that made it look nasty. It also smelled bad. The kitchen remodel was nice. There was an end table on the balcony that was rusted and broken as well as the ironing board that were unusable. They also need to replace the mattress set in the bedroom with the light bedspread. It has had it!We will not rent this property again
