Mio Giardino Romano, the apartment of a Roman photographer, will delight you with its blend of modern art and historic detail, like its original tiled floors, and lovely antique pieces of furniture. Its three rooms, living room, bedroom, and large, eat-in kitchen are all spacious and light-filled. It's special treat is the private garden, where you can enjoy meals outdoors through many months of Rome's beautiful weather. The apartment is perfect for a couple or for a family, as the living room has two sofa beds, suitable for two children.
You can stroll narrow, cobbled streets of Trastevere lined by medieval houses, bars and restaurants. It's neighborhood is both quiet and and active with some of Rome's best neighborhood restaurants offering excellent value, and either traditional or creative cuisine. We will be pleased to furnish you with a list. Outdoor markets and both charming and funky shops line the streets, too. At night both Romans and foreigners flock here. A visit to the historic fifth century Church of Santa Cecilia is a must. The church of Santa Maria in Cappella can be seen from your window. Take a short walk across the Ponte Garibaldi and you are in Rome's Historic Center, and the Piazza Farnese, the Campo di Fiori. You are also a adjacent to the Isola di Tiberina (Tiber Island), historic and charming. Mio Giardino Romano will make you want to stay in Rome forever.

Amazing location in Trastevere near the river. We walked all over Rome. Communication with Susan was stellar. She was helpful arranging for a driver (nice guy!!!) to pick us up at airport & explained how to schedule a taxi via Freenow as we were both clueless. The gentleman/owner (apologies but I forgot his name) was so kind & thorough & helped us figure out how to make phone calls with the proper prefixes. Traveling is stressful but everyone involved with our Rome stay were so kind & accommodating to our questions & needs. The apartment was clean, roomy & comfortable. It was too cold for the garden but it truly is a lovely spot. The welcome wine & water were a nice touch. Would stay again. So grateful for our time in Rome because of the attentiveness of all involved. Grazie!!!

My stay was stellar! The apartment had everything I needed for a great visit. The location was perfect, walkable distance to the sights and sounds in Rome. I was grateful for the car service for airport transportation, the ease of communication with property owner, and the quaint beauty that is Trastevere. Would definitely stay here again!

I could feel the history of the apartment. The walls are at least 2 feet thick. The tall narrow windows opened onto cobblestone streets. There is a church across from the main entrance that is a thousand years old. From the kitchen, there is a lovely view of a lush green garden. It is a private garden and it's a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine. The apartment has a collection of art, some of which is modern mixed with black and white photographs of country scenes from a century ago. Very much like Rome, mixing the old and the new.The full kitchen made it easy to prepare a fast breakfast before heading out to go exploring. Rome's historic piazzas and palazzos are in walking distance from the apartment. The towering sycamore trees shade the sidewalks along the Tiber River so even on a warm day it is pleasant. We stayed for several weeks and I wish we could have stayed longer.

We enjoyed our visit to the charming Stastevere apartment. Just steps from amazing food, and most highlights were 20-30 min walks. It is full of character and well appointed . We were able to do laundry and hang out in the garden when tired. Cobblestones make walking tiring, but when in Rome...

Really felt like an authentic visit to Trastevere, as though we bunked with a cousin. We were able to walk to all the sites, shop and dine in local markets and restaurants. Excellent communications with owner & management company.

The property itself is great very large with three big rooms. The owner is wonderful, very kind and helpful. I appreciate that he greeted me on my arrival. But the listing says this place is air conditioned, which it is not. It has on small room air conditioner that vents out the sunny south window, which means you have to leave the window open to the sun and the bugs and it's easy to climb into the window from the ground, so its unsafe. The air conditioner did kot cool the bedroom and it does nothing to cool the other two rooms in the apartment. You can't cook in the kitchen because it's too hot! The management company refused to acknowledge their misleading description and told me that there's not much air conditioning in Europe so I just need to put up with it! The presence of air conditioning in Europe is irrelevant. The listing says the place is air conditioned and it isn't. The management company refused to lower the nightly rate or communicate me further about it. It's been over 100 degrees in Rome and the apartment was stifling and miserable. The management company is horrible condescending, rude and should be banned from VRBO.

Great location, close to the river and away from the tourist crowds, with nice restaurants. The apartment is basic but comfortable. Pasquale was a helpful host, and the management company staff were efficient. The WiFi is a bit complicated, so best to make sure you can get online via both phone and computer before completing the check-in process. Our main disappointment was the garden, which is rather run down and sometimes wasn’t really usable because of an aggressive dog next door.

This VRBO is in a great location in Trastevere that was very easy to find. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. It was very clean, spacious & had everything required for our stay. The garden was a nice area to relax in for our own aperativo before heading out for a late meal. There are many good restaurants in the area that the host recommended. There's also a large supermarket & many smaller markets close by to shop for food. It was nice to see salt, pepper, olive oil & coffee supplied. There was some street noise but it didn't keep us from having a good night's sleep. We would definitely stay again! Enjoy!

The property manager was communicative and even helped arrange transportation to and from the airport, and also offered advice on trains. The apartment was very quaint and lovely, just as described and pictured on the site. Just a note to Americans visiting in the summer months (including Sept); Italy does not have A/C like US has A/C. The A/C unit in the apartment had to be vented outside the apartment which would have meant an open window and as a woman traveling alone I did not feel comfortable having the window open for extended periods of time esp. if I wasn't there. I survived with a fan :-) Two fans; one for the living room and one for the bedroom, would have been even better. But overall a very lovely place and experience.
