Portland, Oregon
Condo offers stunning water views with great natural light and a location that allows you to walk into downtown Portland for your Voodoo donuts or evening cocktail. Condo is fully stocked, Plasm TV, WiFi, Keurig coffee maker, and every essential you need to make your stay comfortable. Unit also come with a parking spot however public transit is great in Portland and a car is not always necessary.
**There is a 30 night minimum on this property due to my HOA rules, however it is best to reserve for 31 nights as Multnomah county requires a 12% lodging tax for stays of 30 nights or less.
The Pearl district is one of Portland’s most desirable neighborhoods. Home to some of the city’s best restaurants, art galleries, and shopping there is always something to do. Portland has one of the largest Parks in the world Forest park a hike through here and you can easily forget you are in a city.
**We have recieved some noise complaints from renters due to new neighbors that moved in next door and above. These complaints have been addressed with the offenders and I belive have been resolved. I have reduced our summer rates from $4,200/month due to the risk of some disturbances. However I have stayed at the condo the past two weekends with no issues.
We live in PDX but needed a place to stay while our home was being renovated. I am so glad that we decided to choose this place! The river view and access is amazing, and the property grounds are very well taken care of. Yes, you will hear the trains, but it's part of the whole aesthetic. I would definitely recommend this place to others!
Nice functional apartment with balcony on riverfront. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub (though a bit of a walk). David was responsive and non-intrusive.
This condo is great for a long-term stay - it is centrally located to just about everything Portland but it's location directly on the river still makes it feel like a retreat from the city. Yes, it is very close to the trains that cross the Steel Bridge, but the windows are well insulated and the trains aren't that loud or disruptive from inside the condo. Besides, the flip side is that we were able to walk to many events at the Moda Center. The paved trail along the river is steps away and is a great option for walking dogs that are anxious or scared of the city bustle. The patio and wonderful view of the river make the condo feel larger than it is. The kitchen was also very well stocked for a long-term stay - one of the best of all the Airbnb's I've stayed in. David was always very responsive and helpful, and was very accommodating when we needed to change our check-in date. This Airbnb is highly recommended!
This property was sufficiently stocked with necessities and offered a potentially peaceful place to stay just minutes away from the Pearl district. The outside deck offered a great view of the river and nearby bridges. Unfortunately the noisy upstairs neighbor disabled us from getting a full nights sleep. In addition to the neighbor, the midnight trains were very audible. David, the owner, was very kind and resourceful. He helped address the noisy neighbor situation but unfortunately we had to check out early as the neighbor did not respond in a prompt manner to the complaints. Although David was great, the whole experience was not. Hopefully the upstairs neighbor has either quieted down or been evicted.
We loved sitting on the balcony nearly every night enjoying the river views and sunsets. We walked almost everywhere, and there's a great path along the riverside. Very close to the Pearl with lots of restaurants and bars, etc. Easy walk to the Max station. The condo is clean and comfy, and has pretty-much everything you might need. Possible downside for some people (but we didn't really mind) is that it's close to the train tracks... but I think that's to be expected when you rent a place in an urban area. Also, the unit is probably pretty dark in the wintertime — I'm glad we splurged on the summer rates.
The river location is amazing-- watching the many crafts, characters and birds that travel the river and the Greenway is fascinating and morning coffee on the balcony was a part of Portland few enjoy. The condo is very comfortable, clean, and cared for, as is the complex. The Complex is very dog friendly and Dave was totally responsive and very accommodating. The location is kinda of tricky-- while technically the Pearl, you are blocked by roadways, bridges, and train tracks so having a car and the parking space right out front was key. Steel Bridge has a lot of traffic and while the windows are well insulated, you will hear pretty regular train horns and track noises. And even though we are city dwellers, The Bridge, nearby Waterfront Park and Union Station attract a lot of homeless and despite security, I never felt completely comfortable walking at night.
This condo is located on the Wilamette Greenway between the Broadway and Steel Bridge and close to the waterfront park. The shower is like a waterfall maybe because I'm from California. It's great having dishwasher, washer and dryer. The front door is to the outside which is good for my pup. The carpet is white so I keep baby wipes near front door to wipe her paws. If you don't like the sound of trains, close the window.
