We are located on a quiet street in Portland's 5th Quadrant in historical North Portland, or NoPo as locals call it. It is within walking distance of the University of Portland, 15 minutes or less to the airport, downtown, the Moda and Convention Center, OMSI, golf courses, natural wetlands, and the Willamette and Columbia Rivers. We are minutes away from the Alberta Arts District, Mississippi Street, and many other of Portland's best neighborhoods.
If you are a runner or biker, you will be in good company running/biking along the bluff overlooking the Willamette River with views of the City. Walk to our local coffee shops, New Seasons, restaurants, bars, and bottle/growler shops, or hop on Portland's shared electric scooters to find food cart pods, breweries, distilleries, restaurants, and more nearby.
Scenic Portsmouth Park is 2 blocks away and Columbia Park, a beautiful 35-acre green space with tennis courts, pickleball, baseball fields, and walking paths, is close by. Forest Park, which is over the St. Johns bridge, is 5,100 acres and one of the country's largest urban forest reserves with 70 miles of trails!
Located in Portland's 5th Quadrant, you're right in the middle of two great historic neighborhoods: St. Johns to the west, and Kenton to the east, both about 2 miles away. These two neighborhoods are known for great food, thriving communities, artistic revelations, natural spaces, and more importantly, friendly and unique individuals. St. Johns and Kenton are known for their idiosyncratic neighborhoods and their small-town feel. Each section of NoPo contains a mash-up of people, from townies with that Portland pride to more rural communities to artist’s retreats, North Portland gives you a small-town feel within the big city AND definitely Keeps Portland Weird!
There are lots of ways to get around in Portland! The TriMet bus line connections are one block away from the home. Plenty of free street parking is available. Shared bikes, electric scooters, Uber, Lyft, and car2go are readily available and the main means of transportation for our guests in Portland.
For your safety, we are committed to a high standard of cleaning and sanitizing our apartment after each guest(s). We are low-key and generally pretty quiet. The apartment is on the ground floor, so you may hear us from time to time. We have one miniature dachshund who thinks her job is to sheriff the neighborhood. It’s really quite adorable.
