Renovated 1BR with mini-kitchen, large jacuzzi

Consider this an opportunity for improvement OFI. Nice size room, access was easy and kitchenette was nice but there was no sink, please get rid of the ugly shelf closet with a shower curtain in the main room, the bathroom shower curtain was disgusting and dirty, underneath the bed and lamp was dirty and dusty, the windows were dirty, the rug, cloth shower curtain and bed quilt were from a flea market- its “Black Bear Resort” so presentation of bear themes might attract repeat customers. There were pictures of birds on the wall which were nice, but there were no bear pictures, except for a cartoon bear cut-out in the bathroom and you might want to cover up the screws and clean and stain the trim.

I really appreciated the clean rustic feel of the wood and simple decor. great proximity to main road and close to ski areas. would have like more hooks on the walls to hang robes in bathroom and coats by front door.

I love the room itself and the balcony where we could sit and enjoy the views. It was so beautiful.

The area and the view was wonderful. The property owner was very friendly and cooperative. Very clean and well maintained.

The black bear resort was very pleasant, quiet and clean. We were there midweek after Labor Day, so no children around but looked like a great place for children. There was a pool, mini golf, fishing pond, playground and lots of green areas with benches. Our Unit 142 was a large well appointed studio with nice furnishings. And very clean. Only thing questionable was .....very surprised to see the kitchen sink and dishwasher in the bathroom. Sink was used for food prep as well as for personal hygiene. Owner was very nice but forget to give us the check in code before we arrived and we couldn’t get into the unit. But was very easy to reach by phone and we were quickly into the unit. All in all we had a pleasant stay.

Views gorgeous,parking great,host very responsive. Everything 2 people would need. Easy accessibility to state parks and great hiking trails. Quiet

The apartment was clean, well-appointed, everything we needed was their coffee extra mats, towels blankets etc. Beautiful view. It snowed while we were there, and that same day the parking lot was cleared and extra snow shovels were put in front of all of our doors, excellent maintenance! Highly recommend

Very nice place and lovely hosts. Beautiful views from the property and very conveniently located next to Davis and Thomas. Hot water took a decent amount of time to get warm and water pressure was quite low. Had all of the essentials for cooking and a nice variety of methods of cooking. Definitely will be back!

This place was perfect for my needs. Nice big comfortable bed. Decorated cute. More specific information on the actual building would be helpful. There are several units in the building but the numbers can not be read from the street. Also I needed to use my light on phone to read code to open the door.

The hosts provided all the information I needed, and the property was clean and nicely furnished. I loved the balcony and view.

This is a very nice, clean and well kept property. Communication from the host was very good clear and helpful. Description of the amenities was accurate and well stocked with supplies to make this stay more enjoyable and comfortable.

It was a nice place to stay. My only issue was finding that sweet spot using the heater so it was not too hot or cold.

The condo was perfect for our needs. The view from the balcony was lovely - so peaceful and quiet.

The balcony view was beautiful and calming, and the sunrise was the most beautiful we’ve ever seen. The bed was extremely comfortable. The wind chime was a nice touch when the wind blew. It made us smile..The location could not be more perfect right in the middle of everything you want to see in the cane Valley and surrounding area. Mountain State brewing in Thomas and Stumptown L in Davis were two of our favorite stops.

I believe I reviewed this property previously with a 5 star review. I give it 5 stars again, but wish I could keep the property a secret as I'd love to be able to book it anytime we want a relaxing weekend in WV. Have to be honest - we love this place!

Had a great stay while exploring the back roads. It is a great location and exactly as described. Would definitely stay again!

We booked last minute to escape the extreme heat in Richmond. This condo had everything we needed. We stayed 7 nights and were very comfortable. We mostly ate out and used the microwave and toaster oven but we also used the induction plate to cook a couple of times. There is a full refrigerator. The only sink is shared between the kitchen and the bathroom but it is right next to the dishwasher so no need to wash dishes. The resort area is beautiful. It is quiet and peaceful with lovely views. The balcony was perfect for morning coffee. I had to work several days and the wifi was sufficient for all the bandwidth I needed. The condo is just a few miles from Davis and Thomas with grocery store, restaurants, coffee and ice cream shops. Also a few miles in either direction are beautiful state parks. We will definitely repeat this trip!

Loved this cozy little getaway. We had zero issues with this adorable, conveniently located property. The check in and out process could not have been easier and the property owner swiftly responded to all emails and texts.

Very nice accommodation, close to all the activities we had planned. Will definitely stay here again!

Relaxing and peaceful with great amenities

This property far exceeded my expectations. Extremely large room and also a very large bathroom. Reminded me of a ski Chalet. Very easy to get to the parks and to the different towns. My friend stayed in another location and paid double forforfour or less.
