Aloha and welcome to DG-14! Ground floor and closest unit to the pool and BBQ - no need to wait for an elevator or trek everything through hallways. Largest one bedroom layout within the Kihei Akahi.

Steps away from Kamaole II beach, restaurants, the pool and BBQ. Designer selected paint and decor with a comfortable island feel. Laminate beech wood flooring and tile throughout the unit (no carpet). Relax on our lanai and expansive grassy area perfect for lounging or dining, while thekids run and play. Toys in unit for the kids (legos, magnatiles, games) a Smart TV and free WiFi. The closet is filled with beach necessities including beach chairs, floaties, beach toys, beach towels, a wagon, an umbrella, a surf board and coolers.

Tiki torches set the mood in the evenings and are visible from the unit while cooking dinner. The condo stays cool during summers with a powerful air conditioner in the living room, ceiling fans in both the living room and bedroom, and a Minka fan in the bedroom. The sofa pulls out into a high quality memory foam mattress. Our condo also features a fully remodeled kitchen with Cambria Quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances.
The bathroom remodel was completed in 2023 and includes a Signature Hardware rain shower, rock shower floor and a stunning marble vanity area. Small details throughout including wooden hangers, charging stations on both sides of the beds, a small library of books, and more - all to make the stay more comfortable.

No car necessary; you can walk to two of the most beautiful beaches in south Maui: Kam II and Kam III beaches. Great location for relaxing, picnics, surfing, snorkeling, tide pooling, whale watching in season, and watching sunsets. The Kihei Akahi Resort is a safe (24 hour security) and quiet complex that features two pools, BBQs and tennis courts & pickleball; all available at no extra charge.

You can also walk to many restaurants that have views of the ocean. Next door to the complex is Fred’s, one of the island’s most popular Mexican restaurants. Moose McGillicuddy’s (best happy hour on the island), shave ice, cinnamon rolls, coffee as well as lots of shopping, beach equipment rental companies, and local restaurants all in walking distance.

We donate ten percent of your rental fee (excluding tax, and fees) to the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary. We want to help save the marine life around the Hawaiian islands. We hope you are as passionate as we are when it comes to Hawaii and the animals that live in the Hawaiian waters.

We are able to offer flexible check in and check out times depending on availability - just ask!

***PLEASE NOTE: our unit is not available if you smoke (cigars, cigarettes, vaping, etc.). Though it is a non-smoking unit, smoke can transfer to fabric on the sofa and bedding. The owners have a son that is extremely sensitive and we apologize that we cannot accommodate you. If a smoke smell is detected, you will forfeit your deposit and will be unable to rent from us in the future. Mahalo for your understanding.

    Check-in was a breeze. Access to the unit was easy peasy. Everything we needed was there, from kitchen accessories, to every beach item imaginable. The only thing we needed to provide was snorkeling gear. The property owners were a dream to work with, very responsive to a couple issues that we encountered. Would absolutely stay here again.

    The condo was clean and well stocked. The window air conditioner is older and should be replaced with a newer cost efficient unit, it made the front bedroom quite warm to sleep in. With the large amount of condos and all the fees being assessed there is a homeless persons issue wandering around the buildings.

    Wonderful unit on a great property. Right across from Kam ll beach, and next to shopping and restaurants. Unit was steps from the upper pool, which made it very convenient. Beautifully decorated and felt like home.

    Everything from checkin, location, amenities, and checkout were fantastic. Property was very clean and offered plenty of amenities that I don’t think I can go back to starting at hotels/resorts while staying in Hawaii. In room laundry, kitchen, and beach gear (chairs, cart, sand toys) were very helpful and welcomed.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo was well appointed with everything we needed, including beach chairs and umbrellas. It was a great location, super close to the beach and walkable restaurants. We liked the easy access of the first floor and the ground level patio. We would stay there again. Thank you!
