Rarely Available Oceanfront Penthouse

These were the issues: The landlord misrepresented the size of the apartment - it was only 700 ft.², (as confirmed by county records), rather than the 1000 ft.² that was described. Apartment size was an inducing factor to our rental as we had just sold our apartment and needed space to hold some stuff the movers couldn't carry. The oven never worked during the entire month we were there and only 2 of 5 stove top burners were functional. The temperature control in the shower was inoperative causing water to be very, very hot and uncontrollable. Contary to advertisement there was no air-conditioning. The owner sent repairmen along to fix these issues but they were not successful. The ocean view was great as was the parking space, but the apartment had been poorly maintained. Entry and exit from the shower and tub would be of concern for anyone with mobility issues. Overall it was a very unpleasant experience about which the owner was very unsympathetic.

This apartment has a great location within walking distance to shops and restaurants. It also has a covered dedicated parking slot inside a secure area. Neighbors were friendly and helpful. The view was really the thing that made our stay so great and also the cool ocean breezes that kept us so comfortable. At dusk every evening people from the neighborhood walked to the end of the street below us to watch the sunset and surfers. We plan to return

One comes to San Diego to enjoy the coast and this property directly on the coast is all about the view. Not only are the nightly sunsets toast worthy, a small neighborhood gathering came around every night to view the setting sun seemingly reaffirming how great a spot this really is. In addition to the view, the sound of the waves crashing against the rocky cliffs is instantly relaxing. Despite living in the coastal area for decades I never followed the tides until staying at this property. Getting a tides app while here is a must not only to know when one can go to the beach just below the property but to know when, especially while the moon is full, the waves will crash over the cliffs and create a huge spray. It seemed each day had some new thrill to watch from the large glass doors in the living room. In addition to the wonderful vistas, the apartment has a comfortable bed, a well appointed kitchen with all the tools one would need to prepare meals, including several small appliances. All the large appliances are full sized, in good working order and pristinely clean. The modern television is enormous. There is a property manager that comes by most mornings and is helpful but not at all overbearing. Having secure off street parking is a rare plus in this area. We had two vehicles and never had trouble finding street parking. We found this property to be a clean, quiet, comfortable spot to enjoy the coast and the sunshine.

Wow ! What a place,definitely not your typical vaction rental,everything from the furnishing's to the central San Diego location.We truly enjoyed every aspect of our stay at this over the top condo. We felt as if we were soaring over the ocean,on the lookout for dolphins and whales,which we spotted regularly ! Our host's were more than accommodating helping with local tips and recomendations.A Great value also,We can only imagine what this place would cost if it was a suite at the Four Seasons. Being away from home for a long term business assignment in San Diego was a pleasure because of my stay in this condo. It's central location made it easy to navigate around town. The condo had all the conveniences of home, was well maintained, and management was quick to respond to my requests. i.e. new light bulbs, housekeeping, etc. I will recommend to friends and business associates who are in San Diego for business or vacation.

Jan - Feb 2011, this pad, location, overlooking and next to the ocean made my stay absolutely fabulous and romantic. At the same time inspired & motivated me to workout and still focus w/ my business trip, and still had time for fun... great dining &shopping definitely recommend this place to my friends and loved ones...
