This was our 3rd visit to 412b. We’ll be back. Appreciate that they’ve upgraded the cooking pots and pans. We had everything we needed this time. Even enough toilet paper for the whole visit! Small things go a long way to making these travellers happy. ? The only thing that we would have found useful is a how-to guide for the stovetop and tv. Really beautiful accommodations and fun group of other travellers in the complex. Very much looking forward to our next visit.

Pool area was great. Beach house was very comfortable.

We enjoyed our little casita very much! It was comfortable for our family of 4. We gave our two teens the king bed so they were thrilled to have that extra space. We loved the front porch with ample shade and patio lounger.

Site was awesome, grounds were taken care of meticulously. Pool was sparkling clean. Unit was outstanding and quite well equipped.Unfortunately, site is over a kilometer from the beach and you walk along a dusty narrow highway dodging trucks and busses all the way. Has sidewalk for 1/4 of length only.To work on, check-in person at the entry walked us to our unit, gave us the key and walked. No orientation, no nothing. No baggage carry or transport and we later found out that they have a baggage trolley. There was an envelope for cleaning staff tips, so we expected daily cleaning or every second day or at least once per week....nope, nothing for our entire two week stay. We got enough complimentary soaps for 2 days only. The rest we had to buy, including toilet paper. Check-in is 2-5 pm only and check-out 10am, while the rest of the world is 11am or noon! Finally, washroom has shower venting window that does not close fully (1/2 inch gap) and lets in bugs. This could be solved by simply adding a screen on the outside. Krain, the property manager state 5 star experience. Its not that.

It is very relaxing. The pool is ideal for after the beach dip and for our 4 year old to learn how to swim.

We enjoyed walking to the beaches, mercados and the bakery for the odd cappucino. The casita was super clean although we did opt to re-wash the floors (the water was black). Everything else was spotless. Handles on bathroom doors need some attention. Everything else was in good working order. Thanks for the new cook wear! We really appreciate having what we need to prepare our own meals. Thumbs up:) Communication with Krain was a bit challenging and this year our check in was a little bumpy but worked out in the end. Apparently we were not on the list to be checking in that day. I had a print out of our reservation so eventually we were able to get the keys and start our vacation in Potrero. Some of our favourite places are the fresh fruit/veggie market (new this year) down by Potrero beach, the gelato shop, The Shack for open mic night, The Pizza place across from the gelato shop. We also did a day tour to Nicaragua.We just had a few little glitches in reaching someone at Krain, seems phone goes to voicemail every time.Tony at Krain is wonderful to deal with. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back again. Pura Vida

Walk to town with a local flavor and good beaches. Villagio 3 is a couple hundred yards away and has interesting shops and foods. After a couple of weeks in neighboring Playa Flamingo we will look forward to yet another time in our home away from home in Maine USA.

This time the house was even better than the one rented last year. We felt very comfortable and relaxed in this beautiful house. It was very well equiped, tastefully decorated, and the beds, pillows and linen were exceptional.

The grounds are lovely and lovingly tended to. Everyone we met there were really friendly. Tony at the Krain office was kind and helpful. Martin our driver from Liberia was great. He arrived when stated and got us to and from the airport with ease. The Casita is well equipped but does need new cookware. The cook ware was non stick finish that was all scraped off and the only cookie sheet was in rough shape.There is not much in the way of serving dishes.We cooked all of our meals in so the upgrade in these kitchen items would be helpful for folks like us.The Casita was generally well kept but the floors needed a good wash.We emptied a garbage can and used it with the mop to clean the floors. Towels and bedding were fantastic. The furthest we ventured was for a sunset dinner at Coco Loco in Playa Flamingo. We walked there. It was 1.5 hour walk along the beach which was wonderful. However; we found out there are no taxis to get home. Likely a good idea to have a car or a golf cart if you plan on going anywhere at night or any distance during the day.Best to rent before you go. The car rentals were sparse. We were able to find one for 3 days $500 USD no A/C. We opted to do with out. We walked to Cafe Diem, the pizza place next to the cafe as well as the gelato place. All were terrific and a do-able walk about 1.5 km.We saw some howler monkeys along our walks to those locations as well as beautiful flora and fauna. We were able to get most of what we needed at the local Mercado. We learned though it might be a good idea to shop in Liberia next time for better selection and availability of items We truly felt we did well with what was available this time around. We ate alot of fresh fruit and veggies from the local fruit market as well as the Thursday market. MY friend got some great sea bass from the fish market just down the street. If you love to walk you can find all that you need in walking distance.Great stay!
