Poolside Peace – Silver Sands Resort #242 by RVA

We enjoyed being close to the beach, seeing sunsets every night, and having conveniences such as a disposal and modern dishwasher. The unit was clean overall, though I suggest they replace the shower curtain liner. Silver Sands is a nice quiet resort; we appreciated the peaceful atmosphere.

We have vacationed here twice with our young granddaughter - and will return. The resort is well cared for and we have met lovely other guests staying there.

This property was perfect for us! It's right on the beautiful beaches that this area is known for. It was well decorated, had everything we needed, large screened in porch, heated pool, etc. We would definitely stay here again!

Would have been better to have instructions on tv use. I couldn’t figure how to work it.

The bed in this unit needs to be replaced. So uncomfortable. Felt like we were sleeping on hard springs. TV was nice in sitting room. Management was wonderful as always and very accommodating. Washers and dryers are old and need to be replaced. Overall housekeeping and cleanliness of room was satisfactory. Couch in sitting room needs to be replaced. Very old and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, during our stay the pool area was overtaken by a large group of guests playing loud music and monopolizing every table and chair. We couldn't get in and out of the pool because they had tied up a beach umbrella to the handrail and using the steps to get in and out of the pool was not an option. In the past our stays have been quiet and very little guests. And the biggest turn off with the pool area is that guests were coming straight from the beach and not rinsing off and the pool was filled with sand and not so clean. Plus, my wife and I did not see one guest exit the pool to use a bathroom all day leaving us to believe that the pool was the bathroom. I mean we were at the pool from 9am to 4pm every day and not one person got out except for my wife and I to use the facilities. Finally, the outside patio sitting area needs new furniture. Some chairs are damaged. And the screened in porch needs to be replaced. Many holes in the screen causing critters to get in. And the door latch on the screen door was broke. Someone prior to us staying there broke the screen to unlatch the door and we did get locked out a few times. Would we stay there again, yes. It's our Florida spot and always has been. But definitely would stay in a different room or updated room for the amount of money we pay to stay there.

It was so quiet on the property! We practically had the beach to ourself also. They provided beach chairs & umbrellas. Super easy check-in & check-out. The condo itself was nice & clean & had beautiful views. 10/10 all around

Upon arrival we were told that a family had rented several rooms next to each other and that some things may be missing from the room. The towel bar in the bathroom was broken off the wall, the tub was not very clean there was actually hair in the one corner and mold on the floor next to the tub. The shower head trickled water out. It was extremely hard to take a shower. The sliding door was not working properly. My husband had to use two hands to open and close it. There was a bad smell in the kitchen. We finally figured it out near the end of our stay. I opened the dishwasher and it had about 3 inches of water in the bottom and was all mold. Disgusting smell. The beach chairs were not unlocked one day because they said the waves were too high. I asked we could just have two chairs and we would keep them close to the stack of chairs and was told no. The dressers in the room were not cleaned and the remotes were disgustingly dirty. We have stayed her several times before but this time was the worst. I let the manager in the office know of these issues. The manager was very polite and helpful.

An opportunity arose as we were babysitting our five year old granddaughter - so we came back with her and had a wonderful time. The unit was attractive, clean and comfortable. Management was friendly and attentive. Facility is fabulous!
