We love the Cape and we used to love staying at this condo. Unfortunately over the years it seems things just are not being taken care of. Just like last year it was very dirty. Our feet were black from walking on the floor. Sand everywhere, which is expected at the beach but not upon arrival when it is supposed to have been cleaned, the master shower looks like it hasn’t been scrubbed in who knows how long, we found half eaten Oreos in the couch. We will now be on the hunt for a new property to stay at when we visit the Cape. Just makes me wonder if the owners are actually aware of how terribly their property has gone down hill.

I hesitate to write a review. We feel like we found a hidden gem and hope that it stays that way. We have vacationed in Port St. Joe/Cape San Blas for about 10 years. It is our favorite beach spot because it isn't overcrowded or touristy. We loved The Club at Cape San Blas! This is our second time staying here. It is close to Port St. Joe's (our boys, 16 and 20, drove to the fitness center every day of our stay), but it was away from crowds. Traveling during July 4th week (also the final week of TSSAA dead period), I knew that the beaches would be extremely busy. However, there were times when we were the only people on the beach. Even when we saw other people on the beach, it did not feel crowded. We had great views of the ocean from our unit. The balcony was perfect for morning yoga and meditation. It was only a short walk to the beach. We loved the pool! The unit was well stocked. My husbands likes to cook when we go to the beach, which is perfect because that give us more beach time :) The unit had.all the basic and a large pot for shrimp boils, a crockpot, and a blender.Check in and check out were super easy. The staff was responsive. We have booked other properties and have sometimes had difficulty with check in. I would highly recommend The Club at Cape San Blas. In fact, we are coming back in October and friends have booked in the same building.

We specifically picked this property because it had recliners. I have chronic back pain so I need a good recliner. They were electric and did not work and it was very difficult to get them to recline. I called the property manager twice regarding this and they said they would send someone. I don’t know if they came or not because they never communicated back with us. The condo did not seem to be adequately cleaned before we got there. There was a rim around the toilet and trash in the bathroom trashcan. The TVs in the bedroom do not work. They are not smart TVs and they have cable hooked up, which does not work. TheTV in the main living area works, but it does require that you have your own apps to sign in to be able to use the TV. The elevator inspection certificate was a temporary construction permit and was 17 months past inspection date. It failed to work the day we left which required us to take our belongings down several flights of stairs which was very difficult because we are senior citizens. On a positive note, the view was nice but the glass in the middle window was damaged blocking the view and needs replacing. The pool and beach were very nice. We liked the area and the condo would have been nice if the problems mentioned are fixed.

Nice clean condo. One thing we didn’t like is that there was no way to lock the sliding patio doors to the balcony! Although it is a second story condo unit.. it needs locks! Also we had trouble with the TVs! No service in any of the bedrooms! We also had trouble getting many channels in living room. Everything said you need a subscription. We also had trouble with hot water . Reach out but never heard back. All in all we had a great stay, but those things can be improved upon.
