Poipu Shores 305A - 2BR Beauty w/ AC & Heated Pool

The view of ocean from the property was amazing (the pictures are accurate), the beds were quite comfortable and communication with the property manager was very good - even permitted a very early check-in. However, while full AC throughout is advertised, only the main area and master bedroom have AC units. The back areas including laundry hallway, bathroom and, most importantly, second bedroom receive no benefit from the AC units and almost no airflow. The bedroom in particular was oppressively hot and humid. In addition, while in the back bedroom you can hear everything outside on the walkway (running, rolling luggage, conversations). Also, all interior doors are louvered, not solid, so you can hear everything between rooms (especially problematic with bathrooms). The unit has been updated with some nice quality furnishings but others are quite dated and well-loved. Other reviewers noted that the sounds from the ocean below are LOUD and this is absolutely correct. The views are beautiful but even with everything closed the pounding surf woke us several times nightly (we're not light sleepers, either). We're not typically overly critical reviewers and we sincerely looked for the best features of our stay at this property. We've traveled all over the world and happily stayed in much less luxurious accommodations than this but our biggest problems stemmed from the omissions in the description of this property.

The condo and property were kept up nicely. Short walk to a sandy beach and restaurants too. I just wish there would have been another AC unit in the second bedroom. Other than that, a very pleasant stay.

The overall stay was very good. Parker, the manager, was very helpful. The house is in a very good location, lot’s of fun, walkable places. Great patio with amazing views. I would come back again without hesitation.

This condo was in the perfect location for our family. We walked to Poipu beach every morning (10 minute walk) to the area my kids liked to body board. Another 5 minute walk to the calmer Poipu beach. The condo was decorated beautifully and very clean. Kitchen had everything we needed for making breakfasts/lunches. The best part of this condo was the Gorgeous view. Could watch it all day long. Saw many sea turtles right from the balcony. The pool was very nice as well. Saw more turtles from the pool and one day saw some dolphins. Very cool. Would stay here again for sure!!!

We’ve stayed at Poipu Shores several times as a family. Again, we had a wonderful time and Parker was a great, communicative host. We’ll be back!

Absolutely wonderful place! We traveled to three different Hawaiian islands, staying in five different places and this place was, hands down, the best!! Fantastic host, excellent location, and views from the lanai can’t be beat. Everyday we saw whales, spinner dolphins, and sea turtles. Many memories made! Mahalo

We had a wonderful at Poipu Shores. Perfect location. Walking distance to Poipu Beach. Wake up to turtles swimming below and watching the whales throughout the day.Condo was very clean with all the amenities needed. Our Host checked in on us frequently to make sure everything was ok and to see if we needed anything. Hope to return in the future.

Parker is an excellent host, and the view does not disappoint. You can watch whales and turtles from the lanai. Popui and Brennecke's beaches are an easy walk. Even though the location is in the south we took multiple trips to the northern beaches including Hanalei. Shipwreck Beach hike/walk is fantastic. Even though there a many condos in Poipu, it is much quieter than Lihue and Kapa'a.

View is amazing, can’t beat it!

This listing is not inexpensive, significantly more so if you are Canadian. That said, we got what you paid for. If you love the ocean and want all the conveniences of home, this should be your choice.

Had a great time. Loved having the Large beach towels and beach chairs. Pool was wonderful and condo was perfect.

We had the best stay at Poipu Shores 305A. We already want to go back! The condo had everything we needed for our stay. Including a beach umbrella and beach towels. We loved having a washer and dryer and also the ability to close the windows and doors at night and use the A/C as those waves can be quite loud at times. Which we loved! Some people talk about being woke up by roosters in the morning around the island. Well, you don’t hear any of them here. Instead you hear these amazing waves crashing against the lava cliffs. And talk about a view!!! We saw multiple turtles swimming below every day. And the sunsets are beautiful! We utilized the barbecue a couple of nights and ate at the dining table which was great. We got married while we were there and our double wedding with our friends went so great as we each had our own space to get ready. Thank you Parker for providing such great communication and ease of renting our vaca condo. We enjoyed every minute of our week long stay!

This place was everything we hoped for and then some! We had one issue with the coffee maker but Parker got that replace asap. Beautiful views, wonderful waves, blow holes, very very relaxing! I would recommend it to anyone.

If I could rate this property higher than a 5 I would! Clean, comfortable beds, fantastic location and, oh my what a view! I loved sitting on the balcony to watch the waves crashing into the rocky shore. It was a quick and easy walk to the Poipu beach where we saw turtles every day and even monk seals. The pool was wonderful and you could see turtles swimming in the water right from the pool deck. Now, the main AC was broken during our stay, but Parker was easy to communicate with and did everything he could to try to get it fixed during our stay. The AC in the main bedroom still worked and not having the main AC really didn’t impact our enjoyment of the property at all. I hope to be able to come back again one day!
