    The location itself is 5 stars. Our issue was more so with Phoenix themselves. We got there at 2030 and went to pay for the parking pass and the gentleman told me someone had already checked into our unit. Obviously checking in that late the rental property isn’t open to call. He told me they may have double booked us but to go upstairs and check. We told him that we will also need the 2nd parking pass and he told me we had to wait till the morning as one of our parking passes were already taken by another family saying they were staying in our unit. Why are they not validating peoples stays before they give our parking passes. We asked what will happen to our second car if it has no pass and he said it could be towed or they will put a red sticker on it. We went down at 0645 to get the pass and he told us to come back at 0700 when he opened. We came back at 0730 and he let us pay for the 2nd pass. The condo itself is ok when we came in it had dirty underwear/food under the bed, dishwasher was full of food at the bottom, and dishes were dirty in the Cabinet/drawers. First thing we did was cleaned the bottom of the dishwasher and loaded it with dishes to wash we would need. We took pics sent them to the property manager they apologized and said we would receive back 1/2 our cleaning fee (I’m assuming we will get this once they assess the condo).Post said pull out couch it does not have one it is a smaller sectional couch.

    The condo was everything we wanted and needed. However, we were delayed by an hour in checking in because the housekeeping staff was late cleaning our condo. I understand they were busy being overloaded with check outs the day we arrived but it was still an inconvenience because we were there at checkin time and had to wait. The only other issue is there is only one set of four elevators to serve everyone at the complex. Some of our wait times were 10-15 minutes for an elevator.

    Location and AC were good everything else was just average. Not enough elevators for the amount of units at the complex. Wait times for elevators were so long we ended up taking the East stairs a couple of times. Elevators all had expired tags 01/29/2025 (our stay was May 2025). The West door to the stairs would not open on the 15th floor. On our check out day we had a man come to our door, knock, unlock and attempt to enter the unit at 9:23am for cleaning. Both times we told him our check out time was 10am.

    Everything was great except we could not use the outdoor pool. Apparently it had been out of use for 3 months before we booked our stay. It would have been nice to know it was broken, we probably would’ve booked somewhere else. We really enjoy the use of an outdoor pool.

    We enjoyed our stay here. We were supposed to go to Florida and Mother Nature had other plans so we booked this room just a few days before leaving. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The condo has a great beach view. It is in a convenient location- close to restaurants/shops. Our kids (6 and 8) loved the splash pad. The condo had everything we needed to make a few meals. It could have been cleaned a little better and there was a long wait for elevators at times but other than that it was great. This was our first visit to Orange beach and we will definitely be back!

    We stayed at the Phoenix 5 last summer and enjoyed everything about the facility and the room. We had hoped that the room standard would be as high as last year but unfortunately, it was not. The room was clean and that alone was great. The master bathroom shower rod had been broken from the sheetrock and just left at the top of the shower, the rod kept curving toward the tub so you felt very claustrophobic with the curtain touching your body during the whole shower. The laundry room door was broken on the bottom track, the dryer door was extremely hard to open and close. The AC would not go below 72 even when set on 68 and we were in the room all night with all doors and windows closed. Master bed was so hard and the headboard kept hitting the wall even with the slightest of movements. One of the guest bedroom beds was extremely noisy. Now for the facility. . . needs some major work as over the last year the facility has gone down. One of the main 4 elevators was down for the beginning of our stay and this was during heavy traffic times were people were waiting 10-20 minutes for elevators. This was a common complaint among many vacationers during this time. One of the carpets in the elevator smelled of rotten milk for the entirety of our 4-day stay. The facility closed the pool for the last two days of our stay with very little notice.

    Highs: generally an amazing condo, stunning gulf view, great location relative to available activities, practically endless amenities, reserved secure covered parking spot, maintenance issues acknowledged quickly. Lows: shower heads had very low pressure and lacked massage. Beds were too firm. Chlorine odor from indoor pool/hot tubs was very strong - indoor pool area needs better ventilation to make it useable and enjoyable.

    I recently stayed at this beach property and I must say, the view was absolutely amazing! The pool was a great spot to relax, especially being right on the beach. However, there were some drawbacks. There was a lot of construction happening at the entrance of the building, which was a bit inconvenient. The building itself seemed older and could use some renovations. It wasn't as clean as I would have liked, and there was a noticeable smell when we first walked in. Also the dishwasher did not work. Despite these issues, I would still recommend this place without hesitation. The overall experience was enjoyable and the location is unbeatable.
