Stayed Jan 30, 2026I am very happy with my stay at the home we had in Playacar. It was exactly what we needed. Monica and her management team were pleasant to work with. Check-in was easy. The home was beautiful, large, well lit and well appointed. The main bedroom was large and the bed was comfortable. The home was located on a property with a lovely pool and a beautiful cenote. The waters of the cenote were blue-green, and it looked like a fairytale. The beach was a 5-minute walk from the home through a small forest surrounding ancient Mayan ruins. It was possible to walk along the beach past the hotel strip of Playacar beach for several kilometres. The ocean is warm and the waters were a gorgeous blue in the afternoon. The sunrise on the beach each morning was amazing. Playacar is a small, gated community on the outskirts of Playa del Carmen. It felt very safe. There are nearby restaurants and shops and cafes. Overall, I loved this short vacation, and I would so happy to come back to Monica’s home many times in the future!
