OPEN on beach higher floor 1/1 amazing sunsets from unit pool inside ss resort

This was our 3rd time staying in the condo. It was clean and comfortable as always - and you can’t beat the view from the balcony. This is by far our favorite place to stay!

This condo was totally represented on VRBO and its reviews. Upon entering the condo, I was overwhelmed by the moldy smell and immediately opened the doors to air it out. The bedroom window did not open and caused respiratory coughing. The A/C vents were coated in dust as was the filter on the unit in the closet. I found a small fan, also coated in dust, and tried airing the place out during my stay. The TV didn't work and the owner responded after her piloting absence & sent someone over after a day, in which the filter was replaced and got the TV working. I reported that the whole place needed an in depth cleaning of vents & woodwork, every surface had a sticky feeling, nothing was addressed. I did find a vacuum cleaner which was also sticky and I vacuumed the vents and some of the wood work. I was so disappointed that the South Sea Resort had this disgusting condo availableon their property and couldn't wait to leave.

The location of this property is excellent, a short walk to shops, restaurants, and the beach. The pools and view were amazing, definitely the highlight of our stay.Unfortunately, the unit needs a deep clean. The floors were very dirty, our feet and socks were black within minutes. Several kitchen items were missing or unusable (no burger or egg spatula, no pizza cutter, rusty can openers, no oven mitt). Some beach equipment also needs replacing, and higher quality beach and bath towels would help. The bed was very creaky, and the entry instructions were confusing, with conflicting directions and multiple door codes listed. It was also concerning that the door code was provided at booking rather than closer to check in or rotated between guests.The owner responds quickly, though communication can feel brief and somewhat dismissive.Overall, the location is fantastic, but the property needs significant attention to cleanliness and guest experience. If you don’t plan to spend much time in the condo or use the kitchen, it could still work!

The location and view were great however the inside was worn and filthy. We were never comfortable removing our shoes. It has not been properly cleaned in a very long time. Don't waste your money. Find a better one!

There is a large water park across the street from the building. Lots of families with kids of all ages so it’s loud when they leave their units and come back. Door slamming and loud voices. Also the walls of the unit are thin and you can hear the TVs in the units next to you. Don’t plan on sleeping on the pull out sleeper!

This is a great location. Its on the second floor, still high enough to have an amazing ocean view over the new dunes. Some parts of the unit have been updated, but some are definitely older and more updates would be great.

We’ll be back! Clean, well maintained condo on the beach! Steps from gulf and a short walk to town. Screened balcony to watch the sunset! We’ve found our new favorite spot on Captiva!

Still lots of work to get it back to the Sanibel/Captiva we love. We will return again...
