One Ocean Place 804 - Spacious three-bedroom, three-bath oceanfront condo

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. We would stay here again. The place could use a good dusting & deep clean (such as dust ruffle & baseboards) but it wasn’t too bad. The location & view & patio make it 5-star!

Apparently the Home Owners Association is responsible for lots of added security. The problem is guests care required to key in a numerical code at each gate.Very cumbersome if you are trying to carry stuff to the pool or beach. Also had to call maintenance as the TV in the living room was not working. The mattress and pillows need to be replaced in the master bedroom. Not sure how I feel about renting next year. We have been coming to One Ocean place for over 15 years.

Reviewer Comments: I rented this unit, sight unseen (except for pictures online) because it was available on short notice and I needed to stay in the area for a few more days. The booking agent at Garden City Realty was very pleasant & helpful; and, went above & beyond in facilitating my move from another condo at OOP (which was not available for my extended stay). The condo has a lot of potential but I was disappointed in the decor and upkeep. A brief list of things that went wrong: (1) refrigerator door shelf guard was broken and fell off as soon as I opened it the first time (2) towel rack in master bathroom fell off the wall as soon as I hung up my first towel (3) blinds on windows overlooking the ocean were missing slats & one of the turn/open rods broke off. I am a 72 yr. old woman who is NOT rough with appliances/furnishings. These items were already broken & had (obviously) been patched together. On the plus side...the bed was comfortable (but, the linens were cheap and rough). This unit could be beautiful if it was upgraded a little and a variety of things were repaired/replaced.

It was clean and spacious but sorely in need of a few dollars spent on modernizing appliances and bedroom carpets. It took me 2 weeks to lfigur out the TV.The showers need safety bars and some upgrading. It has the potential f being a beautiful vacation spot

The dryer doesn’t heat on the timed setting, blinds didn’t work, and TV in living room didn’t get fixed until Friday of our stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been staying at One Ocean Place for about 30 Years. We would never want to stay anywhere else. Over the course of these 30 years we have stayed in different units on the property. This was the first time we have stayed at Unit #804. We would choose NOT to stay in this unit again for the following reasons. First, there is not enough living room furniture for 6 to 8 people to sit, other then some having to sit at the dining room table. Also, the two swivel chairs were not comfortable at all leaving basically a couch and one small recliner to sit at. Next, the living room and master bedroom TV's did not work consistently. The Master Bathroom's Shower head did not put out a strong enough water supply while showering. This, along with the shower doors were not working correctly. There wasn't a working iron and ironing board like the other units have had that we stayed in. This as well as the ice maker would not work correctly. Also, one of the closet doors in the bedroom was not even attached. We did not complain because we aren't complainers but I received this email asking for a review, so I thought I would let you know. We just felt the owners of this particular unit should upgrade and make necessary repairs due to the fact that we pay a lot of money for our vacation week. Again, we love Once Ocean Place and will continue coming every summer, but will not stay in this unit again. Thank you for your time and attention.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rental was clean, check in was a bit messy. There was no final inspection so no one knew if we could enter or not. There was no welcome packet which contained our parking passes. I called the rental office they assured me someone would be by that night and it did not happen. Both our vehicles were ticketed. I call rental office Sunday morning and they were closed so had to call emergency number and they told me they would have someone bring them out by 10 (no one ever showed up). Had to find a maintenance worker at condo to ask what to do. They gave me temporary passes. Had to go up to rental office Monday to get correct passes and pass for overflow lot for third vehicle. Just aggravating Property itself had broken blinds laying on floor in leaving room and master bedroom. Shower doors in master bath swad.. The refrigerator had broken door slats. I tried to report all this when I called saturday and was told to speak to the inspector when they came and that never happened.
