Welcome to the condo that will make your wishes for a stress-free vacation come true! Its prime location in the heart of the charming Ocean Bay Park and the fact it's accessible only by ferry will surely help you relax and leave your worries at the door. You can reach the ferry terminal in Bay Shore after a 15-minute drive from Long Island MacArthur Airport, meaning you'll be enjoying your sandy paradise in no time. Paid parking is available at 99 Maple Ave. on the right for those arriving at the ferry terminal by car.

When you arrive, what's really going to help you unwind is the gorgeous rooftop deck equipped with an outdoor dining area with all new and dedicated beach chairs and umbrellas. We can't even think of a better place to relax and sunbathe. This retreat is all about comfort; the bedroom features a bed with a brand-new memory foam mattress. Stream your favorite TV shows, prepare savory snacks in the well-equipped kitchen, and snuggle up on the couch to start your movie night.

This home is only 1.5 blocks from the beach and the Atlantic Ocean, as well as mere steps from Fire Island SUP Co. - a one-stop shop for watersports lessons and parasailing, paddleboard, and tubing rentals. Seaview is a short five-minute walk away, while Ocean Beach is only a mile from you, giving you even more options while out and about. Spend hot summer days at Sunken Forest a 23-minute walk away, where you can enjoy some shade and take a ranger-led walk through the trees and dunes. After a gorgeous day on the sand, take your pick from the dozens of local restaurants to sate your appetite. Steps away in the neighborhood is Schooner's Inn, a restaurant and bar near the ferry while Flynn's Fire Island is a two-minute walk from you. Dino's on the Bay deli and Island Pantry are a bit further, but well worth the five-minute walk. Island Mermaid and Hideaway are also great dining options one mile away in Ocean Beach. Traveling five miles will take you to the Fire Island Lighthouse, where you can learn about the history of Fire Island and take a tour of the tower.

The other two apartments on the property, Unit 1 and Unit 3, are available to rent as well; all three apartments can be rented together as the Surfcomber Multi-Residence Home.

This unit was great. It's clean, quiet, and centrally located. It comes with 2 bikes which is a huge bonus (the rentals down the street are 40/day). It also has beach chairs and towels which is nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location, cute property. My third time staying there. The experience would be meaningfully enhanced with some updated furnishings and cookware - especially the sofa in the living room and the furniture on the upstairs deck. Regarding cookware - a frying pan and spatula would be nice!

This is a charming little guest house that allows dogs and is steps away from the beach. What more can I say…

So many issues. First and most major being that we woke up to water in the bedroom after rain overnight. We had my daughter's pack and play on the ground so this was really annoying. We alerted vacasa and someone came to inspect and agreed that the apartment wasn't well cleaned. It unfortunately downpoured later that day and we had the same issues. The flooding was the worst, but there were also ants in our space. The apartment in general just wasn't very clean. Beach towels rolled up for our use with mysterious barf life chunky stains on them. The listing said it had A.C. but it was not working at all. Fans were provided but there was no heads up prior to my arrival about things being broken. Lastly, at first vacasa seemed responsive by coming to check out the flooding but then continually did not respond to my texts/emails about compensation for our disappointing stay. Would not book here again or use Vacasa in general in the future because of this.

Wonderful 2nd time staying at this location. Easy walk to the beach and great restaurants in ocean bay park. Biggest issue was not having anyone to text with questions. At other properties we have stayed we could contact the owners- Vacasa didn’t allow for this here. When the codes given to us didn’t unlock the bicycles we needed, it took a long time to get a hold of someone and the people who texted back gave generic answers and couldn’t help. They gave us the same code we had already received. So we never got unlock any bicycles to ride around fire island. Other than that it is a great house!

We stayed in Unit #2 for 11 nights in the 2nd half of September. We had a very nice time, really enjoyed spending time on the roof deck and hopefully will visit again. We stayed in Unit #1 for the last two summers so we're repeat custom First let me say they provide shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, dish soap, dish sponge and paper towels plus there were 4 large beach towels. With that said, there were many items missing or not working and we called the next morning asking for assistance. No one ever reached out to us in 11 days. We met the cleaning crew and they helped with certain missing items. Bring your own coffee filters, wine opener (their's is broken) and any and all spices. Normally there are a few spices left behind by the last guest but guessing all was tossed due to Covid. Just because we come at the end of the summer season should not mean we have to put up with a variety of missing or malfunctioning items. 3 of the 4 living room windows did not work, ceiling fan not working (temps ranged from 80 to 47 degrees), It got so cold we tried to use what we thought was a mobile heater. No, it was a fan but we didn't know that back when it was so hot in the apt. One hand towel for 11 days and no bath mat. Also no dish drainer with tray. We used what looked like an album holder with a cake pan to catch the water. A variety of lesser issues were also told to the support team but no reply. And to the couple in Unit #1 for 5-6 nights who woke us up every single night with their loud antics, chasing the dog around the apt, and getting locked out and calling the police to get them in, consider your neighbors and keep it down.

We loved the upper deck, outdoor shower, and central AC. Peaceful and quiet but close enough to Ocean Beach for nightlife and shops.

Great location, closer to the bayside but the ocean is right down the block (3min walk).. easy access, gated and just as photos portrayed. The walls are thin between unit one and two so you would hear children, or anyone being loud in the morning if there is a concern for sleeping in.
