On the Rocks - Cozy 1-br condo w/ stunning views 5 mins to downtown Blowing Rock

Great view! Spent a lot of time relaxing on the deck. Very clean.

Liked the property as they allowed dogs, but could have provided poopy bags and waste container. We brought some. Liked the view, deck, the fireplace, but could have been more bath linens. Other than that is was very nice.

Property had gorgeous views and while compact, was plenty of space for two people and a dog. The kitchen/living area was cozy and comfortable and the deck was great for coffee in the morning and enjoying a drink in the evening. One nice thing is that while it is a condo, it's the only penthouse in the complex, so there are no decks next to this one--you can see other condo roofs below but it feels very private.

Very close to Blowing Rock (5 minutes) and Boone (15 minutes).Great views from living room and balcony.If you are a light sleeper or want to sleep in, bring headphones, as you are right next to highway 321. The semi trucks trying to get up the mountain sound like helicopters hovering overhead.

Communication was great and the condo was exactly as described. Our dog had a great time looking at the view from the balcony. We got a chance to explore Boone, Blowing Rock and Lenoir from this convenient location.

Amazing view and great host — enjoyed our stay

The view was beautiful (I can’t imagine how beautiful in the spring and fall) and the condo was very cozy. Josh was very easy to get in touch with and responded to all of my questions in a timely manner. We really loved this property.

Host was very responsive, and the penthouse stay had literally everything i needed! They really thought of everything!!!

Myself and my fiancé had a great stay. The location is great with amazing views, the cabin was very nice and cozy. Was a huge plus we got to bring our dog along as well. We will definitely be staying again in the summer time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Josh's place! It was easy to check-in, located conveniently near Blowing Rock and not too far from other areas we traveled too, including Boone and Banner Elk for day trips, and was perfect for my fiance and I for a quick weekend getaway. The view is incredible and we would love to stay again soon!

We had a great stay at On the Rocks. Views are spectacular. Josh was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend for a long weekend getaway!

This place has the most amazing views! We just got back from a 3-night stay and are preparing to book it again for next year. So many things to see and do in Blowing Rock/Boone/Linville. Just an amazing part of the state. Josh is very thorough and informative. Our trip went off without a hitch!

Great condo with an amazing view of the mountains. Great automated awning over the porch. Amenities were great. Communication was prompt and thorough. Easy 6 minute drive into Blowing Rock. Quiet community. Decor was nice, gas fireplace added ambiance.

We enjoyed staying here while visiting the high country. It was easy to access Blowing Rock and Boone from this location. The property was perfect for two people and their dogs. We even enjoyed chatting with the neighbors who were outside with their dog, too.Josh was very responsive and answered any questions. My favorite part of the stay was having coffee on the deck while looking out at the mountains.

Listing is 100% accurate. Host provides solid, timely info. And the VIEW/Balcony (& awning) were AMAZING. Comfy bed, plenty of blankets/pillows. Really a top notch place...Clean, except for dust bunnies under the bed, and the towel situation was mediocre: only 1 hand towel and the bath towels were small and thin and only one each. Still 5 stars because everything else was great, and that view alone is worth the price of admission. We'll be back.

It was wonderful! Everything was perfect. The view was magical and watching the deer from the balcony was so peaceful! We hope to be back in the Fall. So close to Blowing Rock where we spent most of our time.

The property had amazing Mountain Views, was well kept and very clean, had all basic amenities, and was in a great location. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!

Booked this for my father-in-law who taved about the view. Josh, the owner, was very responsive to any questions we had.

This place is amazing. We were fortunate to stay during a snow event, and the host was super accommodating so we could check in early to arrive safely. Very convenient to Blowing Rock and the property had all the little touches we needed. We hope to stay here again.
