Stayed Dec 31, 1969WoW! What a magnificent building, it was a fabulous way to say 'Welcome to LA' Then the lift (elevator) was amazing and we easily found our apartment, and it looked exactly like it did on HomeAway. That said it wasn't too long before we found out that the sofa's are just off of ground floor level and the bed in the bedroom was about 4'6'' high, I couldn't get down to the sofa so easily and I needed help in getting onto the bed! I called the owner and asked where she kept the stairs so I could climb up to get on the bed, we both laughed but my partner wasn't so happy. I am just over 6' tall and he is about 5' 6'' so he ended up sleeping on one of the sofa's not the sofa bed! All of this could not take away the fact that we were in a major historical building on Hollywood Blvd (with stars in the pavements right outside the door) and it was awesome, it didn't matter which way you looked you found history, you found old Hollywood and it was and is amazing. We enjoyed the rest of the apartment however it was very dusty. It looked as if the cleaner hadn't bothered and had not been in around as the tops of the pictures were thick with dust, the skirting boards around the toilet and the TV and TV boxes, for cable etc were also covered in a very thick layer of dust. We stayed here for 10 nights and we didn't even get a change of bed linen and towels. I think that the manager needs to have a very serious talk with her cleaning team because I know that we will not stay here again. So although it was fantastic for access to all the Hollywood sights and was even more fantastic for Hollywood history it was seriously let down by it's housekeeping and I have subsequently found a 2 bedroom apartment in the same block for moreorless the same amount of money and if the housekeeping is up to scratch we will stay there if we return to Los Angeles.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a wonderful time @ the apartment , location is very nice, about a 10 min walk to the heart of hollywood and touristic attractions. Right around the corner a very good car rental company (enterprise). All interesting things to see is about a 5 a 10 min drive, beaches about 40 min drive. The 24h valet service is very handy. The securityguards are very nice and friendly and you can ask them anything about everything. Our 8 day stay was actually too short, because we really felt at home in the apartment. Surely a place worth staying!!!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed in the loft apartment for a month. It is an beautiful apartment in an incredible location! A stones throw from all the Hollywood action - we popped downstairs to see Paul McCartney get his star outside Capitol! The doormen were really lovely and helpful as were the valet guys. The grand piano in the lobby is a treat, especially when a Carnegie Hall pianist comes down from his loft apartment to play it. The apartment itself is spacious with everything you need. DirecTV on the large flatscreen tv is a treat too. Evelyn is lovely and very accommodating. We highly recommend the loft, but also want to keep it kind of a secret so we can stay there again without having to book way in advance!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Best to start our review by saying that we were so happy having chosen Evelyn's loft for our 10 day LA holiday. We debated staying at several places in LA for our trip - Santa Monica, Silver Lake, Downtown, even other places in Hollywood. But, the accurate description & photo's together with Evelyn's prompt responses gave us great confidence that this was the place for us. We arrived and our expectations were exceeded. First of all, the valet parking on offer should not be underestimated. The team are friendly and efficient - and not having any issues with parking in Hollywood is a blessing! Move on to the 24hr building security - again the team are super friendly & helpful. Up to the loft and the photos are certainly accurate - but somehow they don't quite convey the lovely, luxurious feel of the loft. All furniture and appliances are top notch (awesome TV). There is a great little desk which is very useful - the kitchen is bigger than it seems from the photos. Bedroom is great, as is the bathroom. There is ducted reverse cycle airconditioning and super-fast WiFi. The location was perfect for us. We like being in the centre of things. The loft is only a few blocks from Hollywood & Highland (Chinese Theatre, Highland shopping centre etc). There is a supermarket 2 mins from the loft - the train station is across the road (if you need) and it is one or so blocks away from the 101 freeway. Runyon Canyon is not more than 5 mins away and Griffith Park is very close too. Evelyn is a terrific host - very accommodating with a few requests that we had. All in all this was an excellent experience for us. We'd highly recommend staying here. Anthony (Australia)

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I stayed in this fabulous condo for 11 days. The owner met me there when I first arrived and was so sweet (which was such a welcome considering that I had a long flight and my work day had started the moment I stepped off the plane). She showed me around and told me where everything in the condo was. Also, this being my first trip ever to Los Angeles I asked her if she could recommend some places to go to around town and she was soooo helpful. The pictures in this ad do NOT do the condo justice. It is absolutely gorgeous. I live in Manhattan and prefer apartment building living and her place rivaled some of the nicest lofts I've seen in NYC. It was clean and inviting. The central location was perfect since I was traveling all over Los Angeles. Also, it’s right across the street from the new W Hotel Hollywood which is fabulous. I wouldn't think twice about staying here again. The building was beautiful (the rooftop deck is a must see) and with the parking, Wi-Fi, and all other amenities included it was deal that can't be beat. P.S. The doormen/women and parking valet staff in the building were also extremely friendly and welcoming.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is a great location if you don't have a car although for LA you should get one anyway. The owner is very friendly. The place was clean and I was really glad to find it. Id definitely recommend this place if you're in Los Angeles.
