OceanVista Bonaire - Oceanfront Condo with Incredible View

This was so fantastic - I can’t even begin to verbalize how fantastic it truly was! Connie was an amazing host and so thoughtful and thorough in all her communications prior to arrival. She set us up for an organized and easy week with all her pre-trip details! The unit was simply stunning! Clean, organized, equipped and everything worked perfectly. Not a glitch! It was so lovely to have coffee overlooking the ocean and amazing pool amenity! The condo grounds were clean and the birds woke us every morning with their festive songs! Sunsets here were so colorful and the unit was peaceful and quiet all hours of the day. Residents were so nice and we met amazing people on site. Dive Friends was right next door and they were fantastic to work with. So convenient, helpful and what a fun crew! I highly recommend this unit for your stay in Bonaire. We will be back and for longer next time! A week wasn’t nearly enough to see all this island had to offer - and this unit was truly like a home away from home! 10 stars!!!

Second time staying at this location and will be back. The VRBO host is awesome and extremely responsive if I had any issues requiring attention.

Great location with Dive Friends located next door. Very clean, everything you need for a great vacation is provided. Have been diving in Bonaire since 1993 one of our favorite locations on the island, you won't be disappointed.

Awesome customer service. Owner was very responsive. A cell phone was provided for local use. Owner sent us a package before our vacation, loaded with tips and suggestions. The location of the condo is perfect. The condo is spacious and well furnished. Easy to check in and out of. There was plenty of parking inside a gated parking lot. There is a dive shop right next door and a nice dive spot on the other side of the condo.

We are a quiet family of three. The unit is top floor and very hot. The Owner sent a very insulting note after we departed complaining about our use of the air conditioning. The note made personal attacks on our family despite never having met us. This was disturbing to say the least. Key became stuck in the lock and we were unable to safely secure the door for one night. Would not suggest this unit.

Easy with instructions and information given - location, how to access, what to expect.

The apartment was exactly what I expected as far as the accommodation itself. It exceeded my expectations as for the location. It is right across the street from the airport but the noise is a non factor. It is on the South side of town so very easy to go to areas like Sorobon Bay to wind surf and bonefish. As well only a 10 minute drive to the town restaurants and only a 5 minute drive to the best restaurant in the island Brass Boer. But the best is that there is a beautiful beach right next door that can be accessed by the property's private gate basically a 5 minute walk. This beach has reefs 20 feet from shore with world class snorkeling. There are also 2 Food Trucks that park on the beach daily with excellent food. My 8 year old grandson and I snorkeled the beach reefs from the ladder located at the property very easily. On top of that the excellent Dive Shop (Dive Friends) is right next door. So from the apartment to the dive shop is yes another 5 minute walk, get on the boat and scuba dive the healthy beautiful reefs on Klein Bonaire. We stayed for 1 month and every Thursday the owner provided maid service. As for the owner she could not be more supportive and attentive. Responded at times almost immediately to any questions/concerns I had. Overall we had a marvelous time and I fully recommend the property. I know we will be back.

The condo was exactly as described. The view was lovely. We were there in early March and had the front bedroom and therefore never needed the AC at all. The breezes were enough to keep us comfortable. The proximity to the airport was ONLY convenient- we never heard the planes at night and and didn’t notice them much during the day. Close to town but not TOO close. All the different codes are a bit of an annoyance but I suppose they must be necessary for security. I would have been happy to just sit on that balcony and read and watch the water all day!

Location across from the airport is very convenient, & since there are very few planes in and out during the day you don't even notice that it is there. The day you leave you can drop off your rental car and grab luggage carts to bring back to Ocean Vista. They are very gracious about allowing you to use the property if you have a later flight on your last day.The property is clean & very well-equipped. The pool area it's also very clean & enjoyable. . Snorkeling right from the steps was wonderful! We saw barracuda and Many different fish.You can head south to the beach, or across the channel to snorkeling. Favorite snorkeling trip was Salt pier where we saw young sea turtles. It was great to hang out and watch them digging into the sandy bottom along with a few fish pals. favorite restaurants: Italy in the world (Delicious food,Very quiet and air-conditioned),the Bonairian (amazing waterfront table, great service, and great food) A few things to note : There is separate air conditioning for the living room, and each bedroom, the dining room table is out on the balcony, there are alot of codes -- For access to the beach, the front gate, store room, and a remote for the car Entry gate. The unit is on the third floor and the AC Is needed most of the time. Lower floors might be cooler and you might be able to leave the windows and doors open for cooling. The owner prefers that you avoid using the AC, or use it very sparingly, which made us feel guilty every time we turned it on. It would be nice to have some more shade available at the pool because it is easy to get sunburned in the tropical sun The condo community was very quiet when we were there at the end of Feb. It was carnival time in the city, though, Which meant that a lot of streets were closed When We tried to drive to dinner.We had to choose restaurants south of the condo to avoid road closures. Also, most restaurants are closed at least 1 or 2 days midweek ( usually Tues and Wed it was hardest to find open restaurants that were not impacted by road closures). When we headed to Rincon on a Tuesday to do some snorkeling, we found out that none of the restaurants or cafés were serving food( drinks available). Thurs. night, Feb. 27, there was music (we gather it was from the carnival) that was so loud that you could not sleep even with the windows closed. A great island for snorkeling! Overall, we prefer Maui & the Big Island since there are additional activities to enjoy.

The condo was exactly as pictured and described on line. The rooms are spacious, the view to the water, the pool and Klein Bonaire is great. The amenities are appreciated and helpful— beach towels, beach chairs, shopping bags for grocery store, etc. The kitchen is very well stocked compared to most rentals. We didn’t cook a lot but did do some and really appreciate having pans, a strainer, decent knives to chop, etc. The checkin was very clear from the materials provided before the trip— there are a few steps so make sure you bring the materials. The location next to the airport is really easy. We walked across with luggage while my husband went to get our truck and then did the reverse to go home. We used Dive Friends with the discount for diving which worked fine— convenient shop adjacent to pick up and drop off tanks though boat dives required a short drive to get. Connie was very responsive ahead of our stay— she checked in with me on arrival and when I asked at end for a late checkout, she was responsive and could accommodate as no one was coming for a couple of days. Her counsel on the island was very helpful— restaurant sl, activities. We also appreciated the house copy of shore diving sites to help us plan our days. Our only watchout is the third floor location for divers. I knew this going in— but it means a lot of gear carrying up and down. In hindsight, I might have rented a locker at Dive Friends to save some lugging!! Great place, great host!
