Horizon East 403 is a two-bedroom, two-bath oceanfront condo located 0.6 miles north of Garden City Pier. This ocean facing unit has a fully-equipped kitchen complete with stainless steel appliances including a microwave and dishwasher, and living room with private balcony overlooking the beach, washer, dryer, and central heat and air conditioning. Three TVs (cable, smart TV in living room), DVD player, and Wi-Fi are also provided. Sleeping accommodations include one king and one queen-sizedbed plus one queen-sized sleeper sofa. Common area includes a swimming pool, gazebo, grills and two elevators. Limit two pool gate access passes and one parking pass per unit at check-in. No trailers. No golf carts. No pets. No smoking. Maximum occupancy: 6

Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and restaurants Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Cafe, and Original Sam's Corner.

Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the Seafood Capital of South Carolina and home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile-long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.

Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of the MarshWalk. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems, and the Lowcountry Zoo.

If you're looking for places to shop, The Market Common, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach.

Looking for entertainment and attractions Take in a show at Pirates Voyage, Medieval Times, Alabama Theater, The Carolina Opry, or Legends in Concert. Then visit SkyWheel Myrtle Beach, Ripley's Aquarium, WonderWorks, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Odditorium, Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center, and The Pavilion Nostalgia Park.

Other points of interest close by include the waterfront community of Georgetown, the third oldest city in South Carolina and the second largest seaport in South Carolina, and historic Conway, with its downtown Riverwalk area nestled on the banks of the Waccamaw River. Both towns include fine dining, shopping, and historic sites.

Take a day trip to Charleston to experience shopping, a harbor cruise, a city carriage tour, or a plantation tour. Charleston is only 87 miles from Garden City Beach - approximately two hours. It's a picturesque and exquisitely preserved southern city with antebellum architecture, cobblestone streets, and historical landmarks.

    This was a very nice condo. It’s been updated which makes it even more enjoyable. The beach access is extremely easy and the whole atmosphere was very pleasant. Would definitely recommend.

Mini-mart next door was convenient. BAD - only one parking pass and lot was tight. Pull out mattress not sleepable - just a sheet covering springs.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a nice stay-great weather. HE403 is a nice place. It was clean when we arrived and the towels were all nicely wrapped. There were also sheets for the sleeper sofa which impressed me. I thought it would be the thing I would need to ask for. The kitched was very good. Nice range with a large cooktop for big meals. I think there could have been a bit more cookware, there seemed to be just enough to get by without a trip to Walmart. It worked out fine in the end. My only complaint would be the bed in the Master bedroom. The mattress was too hard, in my opinion, and it bothered me all week. I'm picky about beds so who knows. Great view and not too close to the pool, so the noise was not a problem.The lobby and pool areas were always tidy. Thumbs up overall.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I planned a Labor Day holiday getaway for my husband and myself. First time in this area. Garden City Realty check in was friendly and informative. Condo could have been cleaner. A layer of dusk sat on the headboard and the windows on the inside had fingers and facial prints on them in the primary bedroom. Felt a bit of sand on the floor but i do not know how you could possibly get it all even with the rinse area coming up from the beach. Light bulb missing from the primary bathroom vanity, sink drained a bit slow in the primary bathroom. No ceiling fans: however, two fans were in the closets for use. Outlet cover was left behind the nightstand on the floor and the light switch in the secondary bedroom did not work. Refrigerator door outside looked like something spilled down the front of it. Plenty of towels (but it was a unit that sleeps six and it was only my husband and myself) and the coffee maker had the regular brewer and a Keurig. This unit and stay were perfect for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the balcony drinking our cup of coffee and viewing the waves and listening to the sound of the ocean. We will be back and highly recommended the area and the condo unit.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the 4th time we’ve stayed in this unit and we’ve loved it each time. Previously, it hasn’t stopped us from being a return renter, but this time it was worse than the other stays. The master bedroom was (what felt like) 10 degrees hotter than the rest of the condo, again we were aware, but loved the unit so we chose to stay again this year.Also, cleaning could be a little more in depth as we found mail clippings on the bathroom counter.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at a number of units in Horizon East so our feedback balances what we liked and dislike based on that. The Pros's: The kitchen has been nicely updated and was well appointed. The appliances and washer/dryer were high quality. The beds were comfortable. Loved the keypad on the front door, thus not having to worry about keys. The beach chairs and other beach items provided were nice as well.Cons: The unit needs a keurig. We knew it did not have one and hauled ours down from home, but any modern rental should be equipped with one. The furniture was inadequate. The rental states it sleeps 6 but only has seating for 4. The 2 chairs, while a nice visual addition (beach theme) are uncomfortable. It was a race all week to not be stuck sitting in them. We felt the fridge door should swing the other way as it was awkward. Some kitchen basics were missing/unusable. There were no scissors or a spatula for flipping eggs. The baking sheet was somehow destroyed by a previous guest and not replaced. Lastly, and more directed at the management company, the bead spread was food stained, leading us to wonder if the cleaning staff are doing a thorough inspection and identifying those details. The purpose of the detailed list we provided above is to identify these items for the owner/managers. Overall the property was very enjoyable and we would recommend it!
