The Accommodations

Jack the Sparrow is one of our favoriteTybee Vacation rentals located at the island's northwest corner on a quiet residential street. The convenient elevator takes you up from the lobby to your accommodations, where you'll marvel at the crow's-nest view of tropical palms, native greenery and the brilliant blue ocean.

An open floor plan welcomes you with a sense of spaciousness as you enter your home-away-from home. A glass slider in the living room leads to the roomy deck, which is furnished with a bar-height table and stools all around. You'll also enjoy the open-air seating arrangements for digging into those vacation paperbacks or texting with friends.

The casual yet sparkling clean aura of the living room inspires friendly conversation and relaxation. The comfy sofa and easy chair beckon, with pillows in bright beachy colors and room for everyone. The wall-mounted television is your portal to entertainment should you be spending a night in.

A dining table in the adjacent space provides roomy seating for six while the propeller-style ceiling fan keeps you comfortable during those communal meals when you want to stay and swap stories long after dessert is done.

A handy wet bar helps you see to everyone's beverage preferences. Just above, a kitchen pass-through makes serving family-style dishes a breeze.

You'll love the clever layout of the cook's galley just a few steps away. Everything is near to hand, whether it's time for breakfast or snacks. Like all our Tybee vacation rentals, Jack the Sparrow features full size appliances – dishwasher, range/oven, refrigerator and microwave – plus cupboards filled with cookware, dishes and glasses. There's even a stacked washer and dryer neatly stowed behind sliding barn doors.

The flat features a master suite with a king-sized bed and ensuite bathroom. Wall lamps and a fan light overhead keep the space bright while the glass slider affords a breathtaking view. A TV and tasteful art adorn the walls. The adjacent bathroom features a tub with a handheld shower.

The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed. Airy curtains at the windows and a wicker-framed mirror keep things light. This bedroom also features a TV and a clothes closet. The second bathroom is just a step or two away where you can grab a quick shower or a luxurious soak at the end of a busy day beachside.

A sofa bed completes the sleeping accommodations. Additional amenities common to the majority of our vacation rentals Tybee Island GA include an outdoor grill, air conditioning, towels and bed linens, plus Wi-Fi. There's even onsite parking for two vehicles. Please note the parking space is narrow, so overly large vehicles will not fit.

Activities and Fests

Your group will likely spend much of your time on Tybee exploring the beaches and soaking up the Southern climate. With three miles of beaches, you can easily spend many carefree days amid sand and surf. The island has three main coastal beaches: North Beach, Mid Beach and South Beach.

Since Jack the Sparrow sits at the northernmost point of Tybee island, North Beach is your local stomping grounds. Simply head in the direction of the waves and when you see a wooden overpass, you'll be there before you know it. The North Beach is famous for its great, one-of-a-kind shops and the Tybee Island Light Station and Museum, so it's a favorite with visitors from throughout the world.

You're just up the road from the lighthouse, the tallest at 145 feet and oldest – originally built in 1736 – such structure in the state of Georgia. Take in the panoramic view from the upper deck. It is also one of the few places you can enjoy both sunrise and sunset.

Mid Beach is a quieter spot popular with Tybee Island vacation rentals GA guests. Its gentle waves are great for the kids. If you are a fan of fresh seafood, you'll find what you crave at such Mid Beach restaurants as The Deck Beach Bar and Kitchen or Stingray's Seafood.

They Tybee Island Pier and Pavillion offer plenty of photo ops at South Beach. A favorite destination for both locals from Savannah and visitors from farther afield, South Beach is near the island's main commercial district. Plenty of food, shopping and live music create a vibrant setting for an evening out.

If your visit takes place in early October, don't miss Tybee's Annual Pirate Fest. Plenty of booty will be on offer from festival vendors. Live music, seagoing fare and colorful pirate regalia abounds at this fun autumn festival.

Lighthouse Point is a gated community on north end of Tybee with private beach access, tennis courts, two on site swimming pools, and a kiddie pool. Please note the Lighthouse Point community pools are open year round but they are not heated.

    Nice facility although a few minor annoyances. Toilet paper Holders are slanted so roll falls off and have to hold door closed to get lock to work!

    Overall, this was a pleasant first trip to Tybee island. The condo was very nice and provided a relaxing, clean space for our family vacation. The kitchen is a little smaller than what we are used to and we like to cook as a family. However, that would not keep us from considering renting this space again. The walk to the beach is a little further than we expected but that is mostly because the beach at this end of the island is quite vast compared to other beaches we have been to. The positive side of this is that you have plenty of personal space on the beach. I would definitely recommend this rental to others and would consider staying here again.

    Room was very clean and comfortable. Great view, loved watching the boats. Only downside is the location of the pool for guests. I guess the pool at the condo is only for owners. The guest pool is near the public beach, so you have to drive, and it looked like there were only couple of parking spaces. Other than that, it was awesome.

    Our condo was just as shown. Very clean Unfortunately our dryer broke last evening of our stay Since we are in our 70’s on 3rd and elevator going out was a little hard. But we would definetly rent again

    We had a great time on Tybee Island. The property is right on the beach, so it was the perfect escape from the winter weather that we were looking for. Tybee Island had a laid-back personality, and the North Beach area (where this property is located) was very quiet.

    Condo This condo was a great fit for all of my family ranging from 4 to 86! It had everything we needed to prepare meals and relax comfortably and it was very clean. We loved hanging out on the patio and taking in the beautiful ocean view! Access to the beach was very close and easy to get to. The elevator and rolling luggage cart were a plus! We enjoyed the pool and meeting the friendly property manager and other residents/guests. Check in and check out was a breeze. We had great access to restaurants, etc. We didn't have any maintenance issues. I rated a 4 for cleanliness because the couch and one pillow sham each had a small rip and there was a very small panel missing off of the kitchen cabinet under the sink. The one thing we didn't like was the narrow parking space, but we got used to it. Management We stayed here after hurricane Helene hit and had questions throughout our day of travel about conditions at the condo. Southern Belle Management was quick to respond to each text and answered all of our questions in a friendly and timely manner.     Ignore the old reviews saying it's outdated - not true. It's clearly recently been remodeled and has all new furniture and decorations and flooring. It's got an ocean view, and it's also really close to the pools. It's also the best location on the island - we went downtown Tybee once - I wasn't impressed for a number of reasons, so we were really happy with this condo's location. Minutes from downtown, minutes from Savannah, but off the beaten path enough so as not to be overcrowded. The beach is really nice as well, and not too long of a walk. This condo also seemed to be better stocked than most that we've stayed at.

    The stay was good, unit was clean, and everything worked as expected. The elevators didn't work during our stay, so we were pleasantly surprised that a middle-floor unit didn't have any noise from above and very glad to only walk up 2 flights of stairs.

    Very clean and nice. We mostly sat on the porch and watched the ships. Bring your own salt and pepper and spices if you're going to cook. Also, if you drive a large truck like us, plan on parking by the pool. The parking space is to small for a large vehicle.
