Ocean View Condo Near Downtown and Malecon Boardwalk

The condo was exactly as promised, spacious and well equipped. The hosts, and property manager Jesus, were very accommodating and responsive to questions. The neighborhood was challenging, steeply uphill from downtown/beach, and not quiet -- roosters and dogs at all hours, with a chicken farm directly across the street -- but safe and secure and an overall great experience. Private pool 10 steps from the door was a nice bonus.

Since my comments are not going to promote the location in a positive light....I will be brief on the positive items. The property manager (Jesus) was great very prompt. Explained different items to us regarding the property. We enjoyed the spacious condo, pool, kitchen was very complete with amenities. However, it was not restful for us with a main street being a through street it was noisy into the late evening. We did read past reviews regarding Chickens and Dogs without great concern. However, Chickens and Roosters crowed on average of 15 hours per day which could be heard as if the windows were open. Dogs barked at the same frequency. I wish we had known there is a 3 tiered chicken coup directly across the street. We might have only stayed a week. Because our next location was 3 streets over with none of the distractions. Owners responsive - however, there is nothing to do with that many chickens. Lovely place if not for all the noise.

Jesus was waiting for us on arrival to show us the amenities. Location was good, great view off the balcony. Host checked in to make sure we were settled and responded quickly to any questions.

This is a nice place in a great location ( in the middle of everything!). Paul and Jose are great hosts, very responsive, and really want to make sure you have a great stay there. It was nice being able to sit out on the balcony and look out over the bay.

This is a beautiful property with all the beautiful views. It is a quick walk to the malecon, downhill. We took an uber back after a day of walking, but you can walk back up. The condo is comfortable and a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the views. The hosts are wonderful and very responsive and Jesus is the best.

We have been booking with vrbo for eight years. Paul and Jose provided the most comprehensive package ever, they were very responsive and quick to respond to our inquires. Jesus, the property manager arranged for our taxi to the airport and Sylvia did an amazing cleaning job.The condo is on a busy street and on a steep hill. If you are not prepared to enjoy the sounds, smells and traffic of Mexico then you should not travel there. We enjoyed the sounds of the roosters across the street and we could eliminate the traffic noise by closing the patio doors. We didn’t hear anything at night. We are both 81 years old and we managed the hill quite well albeit with several stops. We would recommend that you use 31 of October street, just across from the condo, as this has sidewalks and a cleaner walk. Watch for dog excrement and uneven sidewalks.If you want to take a taxi don’t get one from the Malecon as they almost double the price. Go up one street and flag a cab. Always ask the price.We have a couple of recommendations for Paul and Jose. The shower needs grab bars for safety. We bought an anti slip mat for the shower stall. The patio area really requires comfortable patio chairs as the bistro set is very uncomfortable. We highly recommend this condo as it’s well equipped, has great staff support and wonderful,owners.

Spacious size condo, with a great kitchen equipped with mostly everything you require for cooking meals. Both bedrooms have comfortable king sized beds. Master bathroom is larger with larger size shower, a walk in closet with extra towels and bed sheets, and a safe to lock your valuables in it. The second bedroom is smaller & has a wall to wall closet so you could hang up your clothes & also some drawers to put away other things. They supplied laundry soap so we did wash our clothes and especially our wet towels. You have to purchase water from the Ciel water truck that comes around 3x per week. Also they have a house cleaner that comes in once per week and they ask you to leave a tip for them. The pool is an added bonus but not heated so we did not use it cause it was not really hot when we were there. The only bad part about our 3 week stay is the neighborhood chickens and dogs. There is chickens behind the condo and across the street from the condo. They are squawking all day and night & the dogs seem to bark a lot at night Iike they are running in packs. It’s conveniently located within walking distance to the Malecon. It’s downhill and about 5 blocks to walk. We brought our Firestick but the owner Juan was kind enough to email me & we called him on the phone & we used his setup at times.

Excellent experience, Jose and Paul were very quick to reply to any questions, the PM was alway available, and the condo was well equipped and clean. Great location but a bit of a hike up the hill.

This property is well maintained and stocked for long term stays. All of the appliances work well and the kitchen is fully stocked if you prefer to cook your meals and to re-heat leftovers easily. The views of the Bay are stunning and you'll get to see cruise ships come in and out of port. Weekly housekeeper is amazing and the pool is small but nice to have and the hosts were always responsive to messages. That climb up from Malecon can be rough for first timers during the warmer weather and the chickens can be loud at random hours but if you can keep the sliding doors closed it will definitely help to cut down the noise. Calle Allende is a main artery for trucks and motorbikes and ATVs so it can be a bit noisy. Overall a great spot if you love the sunset views and a great location if you want to be close to Centro but not right in the middle of it.

The hosts are so responsive and helpful. I appreciated the level of communication. Also, their willingness to be flexible was great when our trip got shifted due to flight issues! Beautiful condo and pool. Great views. Great location to get to any end of town. I could easily walk to most places. Not too far from the airport. We had to work while there so the condo was a great home away from home for us; comfortable setting and good internet connection.

Had a nice stay. Place was clean. Only thing we didnt like was all the roosters and dog noise. Overall great rental.
