Ocean Hideaway a Key West Nature retreat close to Smathers & 15 to Duval

The condo is within walking distance to Smather's Beach. It was a safe community to stay at. The condo had everything we needed including beach chairs and towels. Having a washing machine/dryer was great as well. We could hear people above us walking throughout our trip but other than that it was great and we would stay there again.

Beautiful location and great facilities. Check-in was easy. We would definitely stay here again!

We signed up for our unit months in advance, but we were moved to another unit due to construction. The Properties Management worked hard to make things as best as they could, but still disappointing.

The location was great - near the beach and we didn't mind walking into town for dinner etc. It might be far for some though.The grounds were nice, the pool was well maintained and plenty of chairs. Smathers Beach is very close.

Fantastic Stay in Key West!Our experience here was outstanding. The property manager was exceptional—their communication and attentiveness made sure every detail of our stay was incredible. The condo was exactly as listed, with great amenities and a convenient location that made exploring Key West easy and fun. It definitely needed and is needing an update. The size was good for a family. Definitely plenty of closets. I would just say for that price. It definitely needed to be updated and definitely fixed so it’s not so old and dingy looking. I would say the location was OK. We probably wouldn’t stay there for the amount that it cost. I would probably find something a little bit cleaner and updated

Stayed with spouse and 2 adult children. The condo was spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable and it had all the amenities needed including beach towels. It was an easy bike ride to Old City and other attractions. The pool area was beautiful and clean. Management was easy to work with.

Very large and comfortable. Dated but not tired. Nice size balcony with ocean views. The property is quiet with wonderful amenities including gorgeous pool and beach area with plentiful chairs and umbrellas. Located within a ten minute golf cart ride to everything!

Property was nice, 5 min walk to the beach, but too far away from downtown Duvall Street

Loved this property and I hope to be able to stay there again. Great trip.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Positive highlights: the pool including southern exposure, large dining table, and comfortable beds. Not shown in pictures is a larger TV (50 ?), a new glasstop range, and coffee maker which can both make a pot and accepts KCups. The unit was nicely furnished with kitchen supplies (cups, plates, pans, measuring cups etc).Negatives insights: a LOT of no see ums, pool area could use more umbrellas (get there by mid-morning), a broken living room chair (wobbles; needs to be repaired or simply removed from the unit), and dated kitchen cabinets of which some don't close properly (should have been replaced 15 years ago). The microwave is not level front to back causing the door to swing open. Also, the main bathroom ceiling fan needs to be replaced (or cleaned?) as it is not working well to remove humidity from taking a shower. In short, I would recommend this property with the reservations above.

This property was perfect for the 3 of us! The maintenance guy Jake was just spectacular!!!!! The few issues we had were fixed within 30min of us arriving! We could not have asked for a better place especially for the price!! Great job!!!

Condo it’s self was spacious for two couples, stocked well, laundry, and two bathrooms. Yes, the place is outdated, but the did not take away from how great the condo was. The only down side was the smell from the nature preserve next to the patio. When the winds blows in a different direction, you don’t smell it. And with all the rain from hurricanes that did not help with the standing water. We would stay here again!

Reviewer Comments: the unit itself was good. property doesn't have a ton of amenities, but the pool is nice. they were doing construction the entire time we were there, so there were dump trucks beeping past our windows starting at 6:30am and working all day in between the pool area and the ocean, so it didn't offer the view that the airbnb site promised.
