Ocean Front. 3 BR PH w/ Pool.

We had an amazing stay at Puerta al Mar! The condo was large, clean, nicely decorated, and beautifully situated in Sac Bajo, a quiet part of the island. The rooftop area was phenomenal with panoramic views of the island and Cancun in the distance. We enjoyed the pool, the hot tub, and the workout room. We like to bake, and I didn't see an oven listed in the description, but there is a nice oven in the kitchen. We had plenty of plates, bowls, cups, glasses, pots and pans, but there was only one large bowl and one serving platter. (No mixing bowls, only incomplete sets of measuring spoons and cups, etc.) Surprisingly the knives were plentiful and sharp! (A rare find in a vacation rental.) The staircase to the roof is located in the bedroom with the bunk beds, so be sure to assign rooms with this in mind. Also, the beach is beautiful, but the ocean floor is sea grass, so be sure to pack your water shoes or booties if you're planning to swim. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance of the condo, far more than I was able to find out about prior to our arrival. The public bus stops right in front of the condo and is cheap and reliable. Taxis can almost always be found right outside. I would definitely go back again!

I stayed at this location with 4 friends. We were impressed with the cleanliness, comfortable beds, and included amenities. One of the TVs was a Roku so we were able to watch some tv, if we wanted. The place really is big and has tons of balconies. The private pool area on the roof was our favorite hangout spot during our trip. The community pool, gym and private beach area were all great and also very clean. Towels were also available and that was really great! We were disappointed that most fans and air conditioners didn't work, so our stay was very hot and a little uncomfortable when we were trying to sleep. Luckily we didn't plan to stay indoors often, so it didn't bother us all that much. We also had an issue during our first evening, when we came back to the property and the gates were closed and locked. We weren't aware they locked at midnight. To get inside, we had to go to the hotel next door, where they let us walk through and we went inside through the beachside entrance. The security guard wasn't thrilled but we had rang the bell and stood outside for almost 20 mins. Other than those small hiccups, it was a really great experience and we all agreed we would stay here again. Overall, the experience was really good.

Really everything is great about this property except the living room furniture is very worn. It needs new, firm cushions. The master comforter needs to be replaced as it is so slick it slides off the bed always. Other than that, the condo is great. The cable was out during our stay, but I was told a line had been cut nearby.

This being our first time on the Island I must say this was one of our best Vacations, everything with this property was perfect. Let me give a shout out to the great view form up on the penthouse, it was great. We will be back

We’ve stayed at Isla many times and this place is great. Amazing views from the rooftop patio. The condo was clean and had the fridge/ice maker hooked up to clean/drinkable water which was a plus. The beach and pool were great and the complex was basically empty the whole time we were there this time of year. The pool was very big and there wasn’t anyone outside of our group in it while we were in it. It’s in a quiet part of Isla and is a bit of a drive from downtown, but that is part of the reason we liked it. If you want a quiet place away from the traffic and crowds of Isla, this is a perfect spot. We’ll stay here again.

The condo was beautiful and had everything we needed. It was very spacious and updated. They cleaned it very well and the private rooftop was out of this world. I felt like I was in Greece for a minute. I would certainly stay here again. Two downsides: lots of ants on the counters that were hard to get rid of before we had food. It is an island so I am sure that is a problem for most people. The check in for us was terrible. We arrived an hour and a half early and they told us the condo was not ready until our check in time. I understood that of course. So we went next door to get food and when we came back there was nobody there. I finally reached the property manager and he apologized and said that the previous family checked out late and the cleaning people did not show up. He had one person to clean the condo. I imagine that this was an isolated incident and the manager was very nice and apologetic about it but it was super inconvenient. However, the condo was so great I would stay there again.

Beautiful property and very friendly and accommodating staff!

Everyone was great Julia and Israel were extremely helpful and accommodating. Villa was very nice but we didn’t spend much time in the room basically to shower and sleep.

This condo complex is wonderful. Friendly staff, beautifully maintained grounds, beach and pool area. Our Condo was everything we were expecting - clean, comfortable and amazing ocean views! Located on a quieter side of the island, peaceful and relaxing! Can't wait to go back!

There was no soap it was overpriced. People were staying 2 floors below without a plunge pool on the roof for 1/2 the price. Overall it was very nice.
