Mountain-view condo near Sachem Trail with pool - walk to lifts

The cleanliness of the house was not good! Upon entering there was confetti around the living room floor, the backsplash to the kitchen had pasta sauce splattered all over it. That wasn’t even the worst of it! The lowest level has a futon couch, I was going to put my granddaughter to sleep on it and it had dried pee stain all over it! I had to take the futon cover and the waterproof pad in the wash! There were only 6 towels for 14 people, the couch was cracked and had a giant patch over it that was peeling away. The vacuum didn’t work, the cabinets with pots and pans were haphazardly thrown together so you had to take everything out to get to one thing. The coffee maker looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since it was put on the counter a few years ago. The mattresses were so uncomfortable and after seeing the futon downstairs I didn’t want to sleep under the covers, who knows if they washed them.This space would be great if it were clean and put together like someone cared about it. One piece that really irritated me, someone from Vacasa called and told me I had to immediately stop using an electric vehicle charger, that we were on camera coming from the unit using it. When I told her I didn’t have an electric vehicle she insisted I tell her what we were driving to “relay the message to the complaining homeowner”. I did a little investigation and the building I was renting didn’t even have an electric charger. I will do my research, never renting from Vacasa!

This condo provided more than enough space for our two families with little children. The location was also only a short walk from the Sachem trail for nice ski on/ski off access. The reason for this being a 4-star review (instead of 5) has to do with some issues we unfortunately experienced with Vacasa (lack of towels, sheets, etc.. upon arrival). But we really enjoyed the condo.

The property was nice and clean with plenty of room. Only thing I would suggest is to provide more dishwasher tabs and trash bags so we can make sure all the dishes are clean and all of the trash is taken care of, especially with no grocery store open this year. Other than that it was a great place with pretty much everything you need to enjoy a comfortable stay.

This condo is beautifully renovated with careful attention to detail and comfort. We were there during the polar vortex (and yes some of us skied). The condo was warm and cozy even though the outside temp was -23 at one point. Our group was 9.5 people and there was plenty of space. The lower level was perfect for my daughter, her husband and their 8 month old baby. My niece and nephew ages 10 and 12 stayed in the bunk room. My 32 year old son was comfortable in the loft. The rest of us were in the queen bedrooms. There are smart TVs everywhere and we all enjoyed movies together in the family room. The kitchen set up was excellent with plenty of space to sit and eat. Sachem trail is a short easy walk. We will definitely rent this condo again!

Unit was trashed by the people before us and not cleaned by staff (I don't really blame them, it was disgusting). There was rotting food, curdled milk and dishes growing mold left all over the kitchen. Every bed and bathroom was dirty and covered with used towels and linens. My kids cried when we walked in at 10:30pm after our 4 hour drive. I stayed up until 2am with my wife trying to clean the condo and salvage our family trip. The unit definitely has potential, but know that they will rent it to any type of group and our not prepared to deal with the consequences.

This house is not ski in/ski out! It’s a solid walk to the trail. Otherwise, decent house. Sleeps many and everything worked.

House had plenty of room for us and another family (and we could have had more people). Was a short walk to the slopes - much shorter than the walk we had from the parking lot to the base when we previously stayed off of the mountain. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for plenty of space who wants to be close to the trails.

We have rented countless properties in Okemo…..The property was very clean. The furnishings were very low quality I think they furnished everything at Walmart, including the cheap curtains on the windows. I would suggest putting some higher quality window treatments especially in the bedrooms. There is only one bathroom for the advertised 14 beds on the second and 3rd floors. The mattresses are very low quality you can feel the springs. They left 5 towels in a home that advertised 16beds. I tried to get more towels with no communication then they showed up on the doorstep the night before we left. When we arrived at 11:30pm the house was freezing and it took hours for the baseboards to heat up the house then I guess The owner or the management company kept remotely turning the heat down it seem to be constantly freezing in the house I would have to keep turning up the nest it would just go back down to 62 degrees. The sachem trail is a long walk up and down hills definitely not ski on/off. At this nightly rate I would ask suggest much better furnishings way over priced for the furnishings and the location. No extra garbage bags so we had to pack the 2 they left. We arrived on Thursday night and the walkway to the house was icy and covered in snow and they did not shovel until Saturday!!!! The sachem lift is closed on weekdays so no way of getting back to the house without skiing to the top of the mountain and taking advanced trails back…. So I could not ski with my family the first day because I am a beginner…..I would not book this property again.
