This place has an excellent view and is in a great location. It is close to all of the area's attractions and the Blue Ridge Parkway
The condo was very open and provided great views of the mountains! It was quiet and pleasant.
View and location.
The view from the deck is fantastic with great sunrises, clouds and clear. The layout is very good and things mostly worked well. The property has been allowed to fall into disrepair with numerous issues. Issues include: chair with stuffing poking out of tears, bathroom door delaminated on both sides, shower doors so corroded they were difficult to open and close, table on deck with broken leg propped up on block of wood, vertical blinds in both bedrooms which were not functional. Most essentials worked well; plenty of hot water, adequate heat, gas fireplace, etc. Notified management who repaired items they could but indicated owner was required to correct most items.
Great stay, great weather and super nice views. Love this place.
Location, all the things were there to make our stay more like being in a friends home not a hotel room
The view is awesome and high up on the mountain! Inside is a nice place and would be an awesome winter time stay but for the summer not so much. It lists that there is no central AC but that it has a floor-unit. Which I thought would be fine. The floor unit is fixed in the living room and is not able to be moved so it doesn't do anything for the rest of the living spaces. There are no fans in the bed rooms so the only relief you get is to open windows and hope to get a breeze. It was in the 90's during our stay and was uncomfortable to try and sleep. If you rent in the summer make sure you bring a fan.
View is priceless!!! Unit is: you get what you paid for. When you walk in you are greeted by 1960’s set of furniture: couch was ok, chair had fabric rips/halls all over it, fire place didn’t work, it was fixed following day, shelfs were full of unorganized books, games and etc., standing lamp had no light bulb. Living room followed by kitchen with up-grades appliances: fridge and microwave were spotless, oven and toaster oven hasn’t been clean in the while, one of the kitchen cabinets was dirty, but overall clean, garbage disposal didn’t work. Kitchen was stocked with enough dishes and silverware. Kitchen followed by dining area with 1960’s dining table, disgusting dirty with stains ceiling tile, not functioning smoke detector barely hanging on tile. Master bedroom had nice comfortable bed with clean sheets, TV control remote was missing batteries, so wasn’t able to turn it on, vertical window blinds were not useful since it was missing rod to open and close it, ceiling tile was stained by some sort of liquid. Master bathroom and towels were clean, heater kept it warm. Bathroom door wouldn’t close unless you lift it, it caused door wood to chip and there is a crack above door as well, carpet in the bathroom was clean, dozen or so of dead flies in the light bulb. Second bedroom was similar: comfortable clean bed, nails in the walls from missing art, stained tile, blinds missed rod in the order to open/close it, bath was clean, towels fresh, ceiling tile with smoke detector was hanging half way down from grid. Outdoor grill didn’t work and wasn’t fixed as requested, so family grilling was canceled. Laundry was useful, Parking was easy, access to location was easy, very close to ski area, like 6 min drive. Trash disposal area outside was terribly maintained. Overall place is acceptable depending on your budget but I wouldn’t stay there again unless major renovation is done.
The view is outstanding
