Modern 3-Story Retreat near Toyota Music Factory & Lake Carolyn

Imagine a labyrinth disguised as a rental. First, we were told to download a second app just to get in—no thanks, I didn’t have time for that nonsense. The host sent us cryptic, last-minute instructions with multiple codes—including my phone number as a code, which made about as much sense as a fish on a bicycle. After an hour of wandering, we finally stumbled upon the place. Inside? A sauna—no A/C. Luckily, my husband’s an A/C wizard. But that’s where luck ended. The stairs had lips on each step—like little traps—my daughter even fell. The light barely worked, and the balcony felt like it had one foot in retirement. Trash was scattered outside, the mirror tried to attack us, and the washer sounded like a jackhammer duet. Oh, and the bedroom doors? They lock automatically, because why not add a game of accidental escape room? To top it off, the host was as elusive as a ghost. Never again.

Booked this place last minute for a business trip, and the location was good. Very close to the Irving convention center. The host was fantastic and provided excellent communication throughout my stay. However, the property itself could definitely use an upgrade, as it felt a bit run-down. It was also quite difficult to find late at night. Overall, it’s a great spot for convenience, but the space could use some refreshing.

I recently stayed here for 2 nights with my son, visiting my friend who moved to Dallas. We chose this apartment because it mentioned having 2 pools and a hot tub. The hot tub and one of the pools was completely out of commission for renovation. The other pool was unusable, full of leaves and looked as it is had been abandoned. I could say this about the overall outside condition of the property in general. This was a disappointment as this was the reason we chose the location. When I contacted the property manager and asked for a discount I was told that at any hotel a pool can be under renovation and the hotel would not be required to give me a discount. While I agree this may be true, I do feel like it is only fair to remove the amenities used to search for property options as this was the criteria I used to make my selection. I have never left a negative review however this was what the property manager encouraged when I reached out to make things right on a reduced cost. The space looked really cool in the pictures but felt drab, very dusty and floors were very dirty (when I wiped up water on the floor the rag was black). The property itself seems like it was really nice at some point, but has not been kept up or well tended too. I would not recommend this property as there are several nice properties for similar or less cost with amenities near the Lake Carolyn area that we will stay at next time. I feel it could be nice, it just needs finished and accurate amenities

Too much complication in access to front entry as well as to bedrooms. Had bed bugs got bitten all over
