This unit is a very short walk to the beach. The unit was as pictured. There were some minor cleanliness issues. They provide everything you need for the beach. An added plus, there were basic seasonings to prepare a meal. Beds were a little firmer than my preference. I wasn't too thrilled with purchasing two separate trip insurance for the unit even though the most expensive one was refundable. Overall, this is a good unit. I would rent again.

Awesome and very enjoyable time

We loved the location but the condo, although updated and clean, lacked some items that would make it more homey (sofas uncomfortable, poor or no lighting, no shower mats or cleaning products). The owner called in a good cleaner midway through our stay but it would have been preferable to leave us some cleaning products to keep it clean on a regular basis. We didn’t mind that the pool was small and mostly in the shade but it was not heated unless I asked. Soon after, I was told the heater was broken so the pool was not useable for us. The owner used a digital lock on her door and once I was locked out due to a malfunction. I would prefer a regular key. We also asked her on our first day there to fix the bathroom sink as it didn’t drain well. She said she’d call a plumber but no one came to fix it in our 5 week stay there. It seems that no one comes to check the condo between renters. When we arrived there was no guest parking pass, storage key or cables for the tv. Apparently, a previous renter took them. We found the beach wagon had a broken wheel. Without someone checking the place between renters, how does the owner know the condition of her belongings? Even though it was fairly clean and in a good location, we wouldn’t rent there again.

We are from Canada and this was our 4th time to Sunny Isles Beach with the kids and we loved it as always. This time we selected 2 bedrooms instead of 1 bedroom and it was worth it. The condo is 5 min walk to the beach, next to major grocery stores and good restaurants, and few shopping malls if needed. The beaches are clean and not busy, though the water was still a bit cool at the end of March. Best of all the condo is very clean, bright and very spacious, with a large kitchen, living room and wo large bedrooms and bathrooms (spare bedroom has 2 full-size beds and some spare room). The condo was recently renovated, modern style and is located on the top floor with some ocean view and beach properties. Easy parking access. We never used the pool, but it looks OK for a small building. Sara is a great host - very easy to communicate with and always available to answer any questions and ready to help. We highly recommend the area, condo, and the hosts. We plan to be back.
