Stayed Dec 31, 1969The photos don't do justice to this lovely home. The interior design is on point, but also very comfortable. More importantly, there's just a great vibe here -- it felt like we were staying in the home of some cool friends. Close to the pool and hot tub and a short walk to the tennis court, this house is in the perfect spot. The light is beautiful and calming. We're already planning a return trip.

Stayed Oct 10, 2019Location is perfect and this unit is in one of the quietest spots in the complex, with good exposure and near one of the pools. The owners have stocked their place with everything you could need or want. Very easy to have conversations with the owners and they have many ideas to make your stay super exceptional.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We are so sad that our time in the desert has come to an end for this year. We want to tell you how much we enjoyed your home, the Casa Dorado property and the whole Coachella Valley. Your home is amazing. It is spacious and very well appointed. When our families were here, there was plenty of room for six people. When the two of us were here, it was very cozy and romantic. We use the pool and hot tub every day. It is so conveniently located. Only a few steps from our door; we started to call it our private pool and spa, as very few other people ever use these facilities. The greenspace in Casa Dorado is warm and welcoming and the beautiful landscaping is tended every day by the maintenance staff. The large lawn areas lend to the quiet, peaceful serenity of the complex. We walked, ran and cycled every day in and around Indian Wells. The nearby residential streets are very quiet, and the architecture of the homes is beautiful. There are bike lanes on the busier streets. Cycling is a wonderful way to explore the various areas and terrains of the Coachella Valley. We’ve taken day trips to the Joshua Tree National Park, Painted Canyon and the Salton Sea. We’ve hiked the trails in the hills around Palm Desert and La Quinta. We enjoyed the hiking and the beautiful, scenic views in both areas. We’ve discovered some amazing restaurants and pubs: - Wildest Greens – wonderful organic food, caters to the vegetarians in the family - The Real Italian Deli – fantastic sandwiches. We recommend the Caprese! - Evzin – delicious Mediterranean cuisine. Great for both carnivores and vegetarians - Blaze Pizza – quick, cheap, thin crust pizza at it’s best - La Quinta Brewing, Old Towne Taproom, in La Quinta – 20 beers on tap. Go at happy hour - Stuft Pizza in La Quinta – fantastic happy hour – get there early, sit on the patio We are already looking forward to returning next year!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Clean on arrival! Two couples sharing this wonderful unit November 2018. Great location, spacious interior and patio. Very quiet gated complex. Pool is a 1 minute walk to unit but not too close. 4 hole golf area within complex. Loved walking the safe residential neighborhood and we often walked to a mall with many shops, restaurants, movie theater about 45 min walk or 5-7 minute drive. Albertsons Grocery chain is a 20-25 minute walk. Excellent central location in valley. Karen and her husband were very quick to responding to any inquiries. We have no hesitation in recommending and will stay again!!

Stayed May 8, 2018The home is quiet and large, in a great location and had everything we needed. There were some minor issues with a dripping tap and the front door screen not working well. Also, the one stand up white fan could only be used when cover was off and tilted back. ? I would also like to mention the AC is extremely loud so could get really somewhat annoying. I think it must be the age of the system. The kitchen could use some updating but was equipped well. All in all it was certainly a nice, relaxing month and the owners were very receptive and kind.

Stayed Dec 15, 2017My husband and I have very reluctantly returned from the most wonderful 5 weeks at Karen and John’s house in Indian Wells. I say reluctantly because the weather was ideal, the house was just what we wanted for a vacation get away and Indian Wells is so convenient to everything. It was an ideal winter trip. I did not want to go home! There is a delightful view of the palm trees and mountains which we so enjoyed as we swam in the pool and took our morning coffee on the patio. Casa Dorado is a beautiful complex and extremely quiet. The house had everything you would ever need. The home is just as pictured with large bedrooms, comfortable open living space and a very well stocked kitchen. The house has just about any supply you would ever need. We felt immediately at home as soon as we arrived. This was our first trip to the Palm Springs area and we could not have asked for any accommodations that were more welcoming.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We loved the home. The location is absolutely the best in the valley. The kitchen had everything anyone would need to prepare a gourmet meal. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable . Casa Dorado is very nice and quiet. The house was very clean and everything was in good working order. We definitely hope that Karen and John will want us back next season. I don't believe you can find a nicer place than is home.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We spent two lovely weeks at this home in Casa Dorado. Mid-May was perfect weather. The situation of the home within the Casa Dorado community was very good. The patio looked out to the perfectly manicured HUGE green space which also included the largest pool in the community (there are apparently 6 pools). The home contained everything you could possibly need to make yourself comfortable. The master bedroom bed was SO comfortable. Everything in the house worked well. The internet connection was fast and reliable. The home itself is spacious and when our friends came to visit for one week, the 4 of us lived very happily. The bird life around the house was abundant ... sounded like Wild Kingdom sitting out on the patio sometimes ... made me smile. We saw 3 resident bunnies hopping about on the common green space most days. Also saw a roadrunner (but not for long! beep beep!). The home is close enough to walk to The Village Plaza which has a Ralph's grocery store among many other small stores (a very reasonable nail salon too ... $23 for a pedi!!! COME on!!! ...). In fact, if you felt ambitious you could walk to The Nest (although, that might be pushing it) ... now THAT is a scene you must see ... a ton of fun ... we need a bar/dance club like that in Vancouver!!! We had a great time and Karen and John's home was a BIG part of it. We would return in a heartbeat ... and
