My only complaint is the ac turns off after 4 hours but we aren’t there for the room we are there to see Maui so I’d absolutely stay there again. Their cleaning practices for the property were immaculate and the grounds had quite a few amenities. My children loved the tennis and the golf. The property was also in a fantastic location! Close to so many things.

Other than some very shredded curtains in our room (this was disappointing) and a broken table on the lanai (glass was broken in several place) everything was clean, in good condition and well stocked. The grounds are wonderful (though much less green at the end of May than we've seen in the past). The pool and other amenities are fabulous for families.

What a surprise to stay in such a nice place which was located minutes to the main restaurants, beaches and shopping areas in Kihei. Close to Walia and Paia. The unit fit our entire family of 5 nicely. It was also nice to just walk out to the beach as well.

There was a few essential items missing from the kitchen but housekeeping was able to provide them for us in a timely fashion.

My husband and I stayed here for a week -- about halfway through the stay, I had found a bug that crawled out of the couch that looked questionable. I contacted the host immediately and he promptly sent an exterminator out the next morning to ensure it wasn't a larger issue (turned out to be just a beetle!). Property is super conveniently located for all the Maui activities you want to do and there's a huge park right at the property that you can hang out to watch sunset.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Maui Sunset is a well maintained condo complex. I would not consider it a resort (despite the resort fee). The unit we were in was functional. It was missing some very basic kitchen items such as a toaster and a frying pan, but those were provided very quickly when we asked for them. It is a quiet complex. It is well named as the sunsets are spectacular. Well situated to shopping and a short drive to the southern beaches.

We really enjoyed our stay! We were here for a week and loved the area and Maui Sunset. Steve was responsive and helpful. We arrived late at night so it was a bit confusing to figure out where to go— look for “A” sign entrance, there are 2 entrances, and the unit is in the middle right next to the elevator. We brought a sound machine and didn’t have any trouble sleeping, but I’m sure without it we would’ve heard the people in the hallways and getting on/off the elevator. At one time this unit was probably an ocean view but the palm trees are so tall that they block the ocean. You can still hear it though and it’s a very short walk to the beach. The VRBO included everything you could need and more. The beach chairs and umbrella were in great condition, there are boogie boards, bamboo blankets, towels and a couple of kids sand toys as well. Some people complained of the smell of the washer, but we washed some clothes in there and they did not smell at all. The only complaint I have is the a/c units shut off after 4 hours so you may wake up hot in the middle of the night. Many other vrbo places don’t even have a/c and this place does. They also have several appliances and Netflix on the tv (you have to login). The main bedroom bed is comfortable— though a bit small for 2 people unless you’re small. You can feel the springs on the pull out couch but my husband still thought it was comfortable. The other pull out twin bed was very comfortable as well. Overall we were very pleased and would be happy to stay here again when we return to Maui!

The edge of it is on the beach and we walked on the beach every day. Location was great. It was 10 min walking or 4 min driving to an area of Kihei with lots of cafes and coffee shops.

One bedroom suite for 2 adults and 2 kids. Be aware Covid protocols remove all nice to haves - spices, condiments, Saran, tin foil from unit. Great location with amazing amenities. Stayed in unit A306 which is a great layout, good view and needing some TLC - pull out needs a new mattress, bathroom sink leaking in vanity, needs new blender (1/6 controls worked kind of), washing machine smells moldy and microwave shorts outs. We didn’t care as they were minor concerns - so happy to be in paradise and enjoy the pool and grounds! The grounds and pool are in immaculate condition, lovely beach, great sunsets. Would definitely return - Concierge lady Holland was amazing assisting Canadians with arranging covid testing for flights home. Would arrange a unit in better condition.
