Marlin Quay is a great place to stay anytime of the year. It is the best of both worlds, inlet and across street from beach.

This unit was just as described and very clean though it’s close to needing a fresh coat of paint. We had never stayed on the south end of Garden City and are so happy we found Marlin Quay. We walked to Gulfstream Cafe for Thanksgiving dinner! Garden City Realty was very accommodating when it was necessary we extend our stay in the area another day. Another great holiday in Garden City!

Dining & shopping nearby. Walk across the street to the beach.Be sure to visit Brookgreen Gardens ... a real South Carolina treasure. On check in day, we weren’t notified that our room was ready until 7 pm and on check out day, a cleaning crew was in our room when we returned from breakfast that morning well before checkout time, so we had to rush to get the the rest of our belongings from the unit and vacate the property prior to 10 am. I feel like we lost several hours of vacation time because of the time mismanagement on GCR’s part, but they offered nothing to make up for that. The room was also very overpriced for its condition. We found roaches and spiders in the property, the balcony door handle was broken upon arrival, and one of the shower doors was falling apart. The property was otherwise dated, had stained curtains, sand all over the balcony carpet, etc... For the rates charged, I expected much better.

The condo is showing its age though and is in need of updating, the guest shower needing the update the most. We enjoyed our stay but wish the owners would update the bathrooms and kitchen. The updates to the complex this past year were a nice addition.

Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed the condo, particularly the southwest facing balcony in the afternoons with the sun making it comfortable even if the temperature was a little on the cool side. We also were glad to have the big screen TV to watch March Madness.

We enjoy the proximity to the ocean, the pools, and Gulfstream Cafe. The unit was very nicely decorated and we enjoyed the balcony and lovely views of the inlet. We did not use the disposal as has been advised that they don't work well but the kitchen was well equipped with dishes, etc. we did have some trouble with the air conditioning toward the end of our stay but the problem was addressed by Garden City Realty. I would recommend that the owners update their beds but overall it was quite a nice place to stay,
