Malibu, Carbon Beach - Oceanfront Suite Two

The view from the balcony is awesome. The room is cozy and comfortable. Would definitely come back!

Stayed here for 6 days, waking up on the water was breath taking. Suite could use some updating and TLC but overall, would stay there again!

The property was as listed. Just right for a short stay in the heart of Malibu. Would definitely recommend this place for a small family or a couple.

The property was beautiful, exactly like the photos! The neighborhood is great - there was a lot within walking distance like beaches, cafes, restaurants, shops, etc. The property manager always answered any questions/comments timely. I would absolutely recommend staying in Malibu, CA and at this property. My only note for the area is I had a difficult time with Ubers/Lyfts being available so I would recommend renting a car.

The location can't be beat, with the balcony overlooking the ocean and easy walking distance to the Malibu pier, restaurants, shopping, and parks. The apartment was really comfortable for two of us, with separate living, kitchen and dining area.

Would have liked to be on a beach we could walk safely with my grandson who came for one night

Property unit was subpar and misrepresented in photos: poor heating unit/cold no heating vents in bedroom/bathroom, smell of gas from fireplace, half of shower door missing, dirty caulking in bathroom. rust on vent in kitchen, countertop worn, etc. Left one day early no reimbursement offered.

PRO's: Great location...the unit is right on the beach...and walking distance to Malibu farms (they post pics of Nobu but Nobu doesn't answer their phones so don't rely on that as a dining option). I know some people complained about the noise level from the waves... we use a white noise machine so it didn't bother us but it is definitely really loud when the waves come crashing on the unit at night. (If you need quiet to sleep, probably not for you.) CON's: Slow or no response to questions from property manager, floors were dirty (a white napkin turned brown upon wiping - I had a baby with me so I found out the hard way) and there was an ant problem in the kitchen/bathroom (I let the property manager know but no response about it). Overall, our family had a decent stay since Malibu Farms was nearby and that gave us something to do, but we probably won't stay there again. There's not much to do around there with kids other than walking to the pier. I would probably stay elsewhere (if you have kids) as the beach really isn't safe for swimming and by late afternoon the waves crash pretty high and hard so you can't really take walks on the beach in the evening either.

Was a very charming place and a great location. Speaking of location, unlike most of Southern California the beach is very narrow here and the waves crash only feet from the balcony and it can be very loud. Took a while to adjust to. Definitely would stay again.
