This spacious 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom condo is located in the Views of Sunset Estates in the Sunset Villas neighborhood in the heart of West End. It is a 0.3 mile / 10 minute walk to the closest beach.

Sunset Villas is a quiet, safe neighborhood that is a short walk from the shops, bars, restaurants, and dive shops of West End. This stunning condo is the penthouse of a 3 story building that comes complete with a rooftop patio and a swimming pool!

It is a good walk uphill (about 10 minutes though not all is uphill) and upstairs (it is on the 3rd floor but there are 5 flights of stairs to get there) but the views are worth it. If you would rather not walk, there is a scooter rental place in West End that rents for about $180/week (sometimes cheaper during slower times).

From the entrance of Sunset Villas West End Beach is a 2 minute walk, 6 minutes to Half Moon Bay Beach where the famous Sundowners Bar is located, and a less than 1o minute boat ride to West Bay Beach which is considered one of the best beaches in the Caribbean.

This fully air-conditioned condo has everything you will want including a stunning pool with ocean views; a master bedroom with a King sized bed and an en-suite bathroom; a second bedroom with a King bed; a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, cooking island, granite counter tops, and modern appliances; a washer and dryer; a large dining table perfect; and a living area with a sofa, love seat, and a HDTV with DVD and Cable. Enjoy unparalleled views of the ocean and the sunset from the balcony. The balcony also has a dining table, a gas BBQ, and a chaise lounge which is perfect for relaxing with a cold beverage after a long day at the beach. This luxurious 1600 Square Foot condo comfortably sleeps 4-5 people.

As part of our rental service, we can arrange for anything and everything you want to do while on the island. We have lived here for over 7 years and know everything about everything on Roatan. We can even stock the refrigerator with your favorite foods and drinks. What better than to have an ice cold beer waiting for you upon arrival

The internet is unlimited high speed.

We do not include electricity in the rental price. We include an electricity allowance that covers the use of the fans, fridge, and hot water heater. Instead of charging fees for laundry and A/C, it is easier and fairer to charge for electricity instead. We read the meter at check-in and check-out and use the previous month's bill to determine the rate. We found that including electricity in the price made people want to get their money's worth by leaving the A/Cs constantly on at full blast and every light in the place on. Not only is it eco unfriendly, it meant we had to tack on an extra $400 / week to the rental rate.
We have a fantastic year round wind that comes straight through the condo if you leave the doors open. The master bedroom opens onto the balcony so you can leave the sliding glass door open and get a nice ocean breeze. The other bedrooms have screened windows that can also be left open. You might not even need A/C.

We are also an eco-friendly, green rental property. We do as much as we can to reduce our environmental footprint. We have super energy efficient ACs and hot water heaters. We use all natural, palm oil free, and organic cleaning products when possible; cut down on plastic waste; have recycling and composting available for renters; use only natural organic fertilizers in the garden, support local NGOs that work on environmental and coral reef conservation, and provide eco tips and advice for guests while they are on the island.

    We definitely had the views! With a balcony we could take wonderful pictures of the bay and catamarans! Beautiful place. Nice pool. We were impressed with how well the property was maintained. We were safe with a well staffed gate security. The property management will answer any questions by email very quickly. They are eco- friendly too. Just be prepared for a hill to climb up but we figured out the taxi system rapidly and paid for the ride up each day. Much cheaper than a rental. We would stay on the West End again anytime. Easy access to grocery, shops, water taxi, and excursion booking companies.

    We had a very nice time. We had 2 Macaws come almost everyday to eat from the nut tree right outside our condo. The views and pool area are amazing. The location is great also. There were a lot of steps but I enjoyed the work out! The reef was a little brown, which made me sad, but overall the diving was good and the reef is very close so the boat ride is short.

    Comfortable beds, a quiet pool and spacious living area. We were close enough to walk to West End beach and restaurants, yet, away from the hustle and bustle.

    Had a great month’s stay at this condo. The walk up the hill and stairs, like others have said, is well worth the views during the day of the sea and sunsets like no others, at night ! Very comfortable condo. Caroline and Nick were so helpful, looked after us quickly with Air Con Replacement, Safe installation, BBQ propane & water jug delivery. Can’t say enough good things about them and the condo !

    We stayed here for 8 weeks, and it was clean and well equipped. It is spacious and had plenty of room for guests who visited over the holidays. The property manager, Caroline, is great. she was very responsive to any questions or minor problems we had. When something went wrong, washing machine broke, she arranged for someone to come and pick up and do our laundry until she got the machine fixed! Then she had the repair people out and got it fixed in a reasonable time. Town is a short walk away, from the front door to the middle of town was only a fifteen-minute walk.

    Overall we would definitely recommend this condo and Roatan/West End. Very comfortable, great space (1800 ft and a huge balcony) and walking distance to restaurants and shops. And the views! Spectacular. It's in a nice enclave just off the main drag in West End - Sunset Villas. Felt very safe and being only a 5 walk mins from 'town' was fantastic - no need to rent a car unless you want to explore the island. Taxis are everywhere and you can take water taxis to West Bay. Despite being so close to town, the condo was quiet other than the wildlife - which included visits from macaws and yellow-naped parrots! The condo is up the hill and on the third/top floor. You have the benefit of full privacy (no one can see into your balcony). Sunsets are spectacular and there is always a great breeze. But that does mean the walk to the condo is a good workout - the hills and the stairs up. We are fairly fit and would get a bit winded from the hill but considered it our workout. The condo has two big bedrooms with king-sized beds and ensuite bathrooms. No toiletries are provided, there are bath and pool towels. Despite its appearance, the BBQ works. The kitchen has dishes, a microwave, toaster oven, toaster, blender, coffee maker, dishwasher. Drinking water is provided. The internet was great. TV has lots of English channels. It was 30 degrees everyday but we rarely used the AC other than at night in our room (but it did work well). While some of the window screens are missing, there isn't much in the way of bugs, occasionally had to escort a gecko out. The pool is small but great with loungers. The residents were lovely to talk with and super helpful with island tips. If you are here for a longer stay, the best place to get grocery's is Eldon's by the airport - get the taxi to stop on the way from the airport otherwise you are taking a cab back and it's 20 mins away. Bring cash. Not all places take credit cards. Some accept Paypal. All places take US dollars and give change in local currency. Caroline, the VRBO host, is very responsive to inquiries, both before and during our trip, and provided lots of recommendations/tips before we arrived which was much appreciated. We really appreciated that a cleaner came every Monday as we stayed for a month. My only constructive feedback is the condo is looking a bit tired and could use some freshening up. Not that it was a showstopper and it didn't take away from our trip - we would return.

    Very convenient to West End commercial area, lots of dive shops , good restaurants . There are a lot of stairs but overall, good place to stay.

    Just couldn't ask for anything better. The place is absolutely huge! 2 giant bedrooms, both with king beds. Great end-to-end ventilation. We were there 9 days during both good and bad weather and didn't use the AC once. They charge for extra energy used, but we didn't go over the baseline and I think that's pretty easy. But if you want to go to the tropics and run the AC 24x7 I would look at a different option. The kitchen was huge and well appointed, everything we needed for the few meals we cooked. And we didn't cook much because the fantastic location in West End makes it easy to walk on down and do HH every day. Many great bars and restaurants. Thai, Italian, Argentinian, Pizza, Caribbean specialities are all available. This was Feb 2021 and everything was pretty much open. Missing all the CA snowbirds, so pretty empty compared to a previous visit. Yes, it's a bit of a walk up the hill but I really enjoyed the exercise daily and would have put on another 5 lbs without it. Incredible value for the money! Stay here!

    Very comfortable condo, spacious and beautifull views. The kitchen was well equipped, the water pressure was decent and the views spectacular. Please note there are a lot of stairs so getting luggae and groceries up can be a chore but I look at it as a free work out!
