On a surface level the property was nice but after the first night, there was an ant problem the hostess appeared to know about because there ant bait in one of the bathrooms where the infestation was the worst. There were also ants throughout the kitchen. Each time were cooking our meals, ants would be on our persons as well as our food. When I relayed to this the hostess and required some type of restitution, she refused stating this was first time she heard of an an problem. We were also locked out upon our arrival. Our check in was at 3pm and we couldn't get in till 430pm which caused us to be late for our first night of activities. The hostess also disregarded this fact as well. Kimberly, however, was very good at collection of funds and reminders for check out. This is an annual trip and we will never stay at one of their rentals again.

This place is amazing! Plenty of beach chairs, toys, and towels. Very comfortable and clean. Communication is quick and easy with any needs that arise. It's our 2nd year and will be back for more.

The check in/out process was very smooth and easy. Kimberly Kizer is very easy to work with and very accommodating. PROS: We couldn't have found a better spot for our vacation. It's close to everything, including the zoo, sea world, shopping, Little Italy, and of course, THE BEACH! The place is very well stocked with every imaginable kitchen item you could need, along with towels and bathing/shower products. There's jet tub in the master suite, which we used several times. We appreciated the nice coffee/hot cocoa set up. The bedrooms were comfortable. Just a side note here, the bunk beds are probably better suited for kids. The two younger, adult nieces we thought could sleep there, but the top bunk is hard to get into. So they ended up sleeping on the large sofas in the living room which turned out fine. I was fortunate and got the bedroom suite, and it was wonderful. Some noise from the boardwalk folks, but not bad after it got dark. And I was able to watch the ocean waves while lying in bed. Very serene and relaxing. If your group are beach lovers, I would highly recommend the Sand Castle. ONLY CON: The clothes dryer wasn't drying anything, so we removed the lint filter, and it hadn't been cleaned out for quite some time. It was really packed with lint and sand (the element may need changing also.) So be sure to check this if it's used. May want to advise cleaning staff to do the same.

What a great experience. This property is just 10-Stars all the way around. We didn't get to stay as long as we wanted but we will be back. The property was spotless and the extra amenities were over the top.

Location: 5 Stars VIEW VIEW VIEW.. Away from the hustle but close enough to enjoy the restaurants. Cleanliness: 4 Stars Dishes were a little dirty had to be washed again Amenities: 2 Stars Hot Water did not work well Overall its a very nice condo and we would definitely stay again. Would have left a 5 Star if water heater worked. Management was sent text but nobody was sent out to fix.

This is an amazing place to stay. It has the comforts you need while traveling to San Diego without having to over pack. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the things including a few common spices and oils. The washer and dryer are small but get the job done quick. The main 3 beds were really comfortable. The bunk bed room doesn't have as comfy of mattresses (there are 3 beds, bottom bunk, top bunk, and trundle) and it does get a little warmer since it has less of the cool ocean breeze to it but completely manageable with the window open at night. The view is amazing and being on the second level much of the boardwalk sounds are dampened. The garage has a couple of beach chairs and a few toys if you couldn't bring your own. It also had plenty of room to park our cars (Subaru forester and Mazda CX5) in without too much trouble if you know how to back in. The Sand Castle is clean with nice touches. The sheets and towels were good quality. We definitely plan on staying here for our staycation for many years to come!

The condo was amazing and location was perfect! plenty of room for the 8 of us !

We had a wonderful stay with 6 kids ranging from 11-17 years old. The location couldn’t be better. Watch as the boardwalk comes alive in the morning and quiets in the evening. The condo is literally steps from the beach. The condo is clean and beds are super comfortable. Parking is SUPER tight. In fact, we scratched my son’s Tacoma attempting to make it into the garage. The kitchen is a little disorderly in the way it is organized- also not much room for food you bring. We also had an issue having ample hot water. Even with these minor issues, we would definitely stay here again.

We have been renting this house for years! Its always better and better!
