Bad transportation
Shuttle from parking lot at bottom of steep hill. Only 1 elevator in service, very long wsit times. Not a convenient place to stay.
Unit was in need of new toilet seats and my spouse found dog poop beside the master bed. I talked with the cleaning lady at checkout and she was not the one that cleaned the condo last. Took 30 minutes to check in at gate and shuttle was very inconvenient to go back to our car.
We stayed during the July 4th week. We had an hiccup that when we arrived, security told us to contact the owner because they had no communication that the unit was reserved for us. We panicked while looking for the owner's number and waiting for a call back. It was late in the afternoon when we arrived because we stopped for lunch and a little sightseeing prior to arrival. Alas, he responded and we checked in. We never did get the Netflix to work but had a great time. The view was fantastic and view of the Sugar Mountain fireworks from the balcony were great. Will return in the future. Next time, I will communicate with the owner to ensure the resort knows about our arrival.
Spent a wonderful weekend here with my husband and daughters . We will definitely return
Property was fine and comfortable. Lack of parking and constant use of shuttle was a pain. Overall, it was convenient to everything.
We had a really nice stay! It was a super clean unit with a beautiful view of the ski slopes. (We loved drinking coffee & watching the skiers!) Richard was a great host and promptly answered all of my questions. The only thing that I would recommend is perhaps getting a new key system for the front door. My brother was the only one who could unlock the door it because otherwise it was very difficult. This obviously wasn’t enough to cause a negative experience though. In addition, we also loved the smart TV’s and comfy big couch in the living room! We would definitely stay here again.
Condo was nice. What made it terrible was the king size mattress. It was way too hard. It also felt like I was going to roll to the middle of the bed. Please replace the mattress!!!
Renting was easy. Everyone was very polite and helpful.
We had a great time. The only detail that was not mentioned was the room faces the ski slopes. That was something I was looking for, so that was a plus. The property was clean. We enjoyed our stay!
The amenities at this condo are great! Hot tub, heated pool, steam room and sauna on the main level really did help us pick this condo and this location. It did get pretty busy in pool area in the evenings but my family of 5 still had plenty of room in either of the 2 hot tubs, pool, sauna or steam room. But the listing of this property states that this is a luxury condo. I disagree with this statement - it might have been a luxury condo building and unit in 1990 - but it was still a really good vacation. The condo is outdated and does not really have a working fireplace - that we could figure out anyways. It made a sound but produced zero heat nor flame. The kitchen is ample space with new refrigerator but everything else including the dishes and utensils need to be updated and cleaned and really organized too. The bathrooms were small with the worst toilet paper I’ve ever seen - I definitely recommend bringin your own. There was hand soap and exactly 6 towels in the unit. If you’re like us and want to make use of the hot tubs etc downstairs then you’ll definitely need to bring your own towels. I think it also needed more blankets and pillows too. It has a sleeper sofa but it has a mattress that I wouldn’t ask my worst enemy to use. Regardless, we couldn’t find sufficient sheets or blankets for it so we didn’t use the sofa bed. The kids’ room with 2 twin beds has 2 uncomfortable twin beds with old sheets and blankets. The reason I’m telling all of these details is because IMO when something is luxury I expect luxury linens too. Definitely linens from 1990 also. The master bed is not comfortable either and does not have ample blankets either. A winter retreat condo should have lots of extra blankets for those of us not used to the cold. Each bedroom and living room has a large tv so that was nice for evenings when we weren’t playing Scrabble which so nicely is provided by the unit. The hallway outside of the unit as well as the unit itself had a strange smell to us all. I think it was cleaning supplies smell but all of us found it not so appetizing of a smell. Checking in was actually a nightmare. I didn’t receive anything telling us the unit number so I assumed I just showed my listing confirmation. I was wrong. At the gate at the bottom of the mountain the guard wouldn’t let us go up. We had to wait in the freezing cold in the car for a long time before we were allowed up. Make sure you know how to get in your unit before you go.
The check-in process was unclear and it felt I was checking into a hotel. the property was nice but unclean, the dishwasher was not run from the previous guests and left an awful odor in the condo. There was not a shuttle to sugar mountain even though it was advertised in the listing. The checkout process was very unclear (take out the trash, put sheets on the bed, ETC)
