Amazing condo with a stunning view! It was spacious, clean and had everything we needed for our stay.

AC Unit in Living/Dining Room leaked steady stream of water on floor. Placed trash can to catch water and would empty 3 times daily to prevent flooding unit. Advised management when I checked in on Monday and requested repair or to be relocated to another property. Requested updates twice daily (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) and was assured the issue would be resolved each day. Repair man showed up Friday evening and determined condensate pump needed to be replaced. New condensate pump was installed Saturday. I cannot recommend staying in this unit nor using Vacasa Management.

I will preface this review by saying that I have traveled a lot, and stayed in all kinds of accommodations in different areas of the world. I had high hopes for this rental based on the photos, but by and large was disappointed. First, the pros: the location was good on the North end of Jaco beach with pretty ocean views off of the balcony. Parking was easy and we appreciated the 24 hr security. It felt very safe there. The layout of the condo was good for a family. Cons: the ceilings were covered in moldy spots in multiple rooms. The upholstered master bed frame looked like a pack of muddy dogs had rubbed up against it for days. The air conditioner in the main living area worked, but constantly dripped water onto the glossy tile floor - we spent the entire week changing out towels under a bucket so that no one would slip. Although the vacation rental company, Vacasa, initially responded quickly by sending someone over to see the a/c problem in person, there was no further response after that despite them promising a technician would come out the next day (5 days with zero contact). If there was a better unit not managed by Vacasa in this building, I would say it might be worth a look, but as far as this particular unit, buyer beware!

This property had black mold and when I contacted Vacasa about the mold, they took 24 hours to contact me back and they sent someone to mud over the mold. They did not address the actual issue nor did they communicate any further with me. I am very disappointed in the service that I received. The mini split in the master bedroom also needs work. It did not cool completely and it leaked there was water all over the floor when we woke up one morning.

While I did find aspects of my stay enjoyable, the overall experience was marred by significant disappointments in customer service. Despite appreciating the view, location, and amenities of the rental, the two-day outage of lights and hot water, coupled with the discovery of mold in the bathroom, overshadowed the positive elements. To compound matters, the communication breakdown was evident when the Vacasa onsite manager from Mammoth reached out to me while I was currently residing at a property in Costa Rica. This lack of coordination and timely resolution left me thoroughly dissatisfied with the overall customer service provided by Vacasa.

Beautiful place to stay. You can sit on the porch and watch the surfers, or sit in the pool area and soak up the sun. Great gated community for a wonderful week.

Building, room, amenities were immaculate. The view from the balcony overlooking the beach was spectacular. The staff was amazing. I can't go into specifics but the security guard on night duty did his job and protected us from what could have been a bad situation. This place is by far my favorite of the trip. Would book again in a flash. I suggest you do as well.
