Stayed Jan 8, 2026Great location near the beach and centrally located. Nice to be able to hear the sound of the waves from the condo at night. The condo was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The grounds of Hono Kai are well kept and beautiful.

Stayed Jul 10, 2023We loved this property because it was not in a very touristy area, so we didn't have to deal with a lot of traffic and crowds. But, it was centrally located for easy access to the airport, Lahaina/Kaanapali, and Haleakala!! The complex is quiet, with a mix of residents and rentals. The property could stand to be updated, but it was perfect for our needs! And, I loved being able to hear waves crashing because we could access a part of the beach just steps down from the pool area!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This was a fine condominium for our stay on Maui. The only drawbacks were lumpy old pillows and a noisy air conditioner. We turned off the AC as the ceiling fans kept the condo comfortable. The pillows could easily be replaced. We liked being close to Maalaea harbor for whale watching tours and the aquarium. We needed a car to get groceries, etc. The beach was ok. The groundskeepers/maintenance personnel for the complex kept the pool and grounds clean.

Stayed Jul 5, 2021A convenient location for vacation, closed to restaurants and beaches. We had rented for 6 days and kitchen has everything we needed, enough parking spots, neighborhood are nice, also the check in- check out process is easy. The only thing is need more blankets. All else are great ?

Stayed Feb 15, 2021The place was great, it had all it needed for thoroughly enjoying the beach (great chairs, bogey board, sand toys etc.). The kitchen was likely one of the best furnished kitchens I have ever used in a temp location. Close to a quiet beach with a nice, private pool. I'd definitely go again

Stayed Jun 6, 2023The unit is simple, but well taken care of, clean and at an amazing location. We can see a little bit of the ocean from the balcony (and can definitely hear the waves even with doors and windows closed, which is very nice).
