Stayed Mar 28, 2022What a gorgeous place to relax! The home is clean and comfortable and the scenery is breathtaking! Chad (our host) is wonderful and generous. We loved taking the boat around hunting for conch and lobsters and snorkeling in the gorgeous Casuarina waters. Such a great trip. We will see you again, Chad. Thanks for everything!!

Stayed May 19, 2018Spent 2 weeks relaxing on the beach, fly fishing for bonefish, enjoying the peaceful location. Facilities are well kept and very clean. Enjoyed meeting Chad and sharing his stories and dogs Shasha and Sheeba, who visited every morning. They are adorable and even though we weren't dog people they were fun to have around. Incredible crab catchers! Luckily, we were the only renters, so we had the place to ourselves. The beach is truly incredible as was the fishing. We hope to be back.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed at the Sand Dollar Cove Cottages for a week as part of a Bonefish fly fishing adventure with some very good friends of ours who had stayed there before. The cottages are absolutely beautiful, very clean, and have everything you could need for a week-long stay like ours. We spent each day fishing, three with local guides in the Marls (all of whom Chad knows personally) and three on our own on the flats just off the beach at our cottages. We used Chads boats to access the flats. The boats are all very serviceable, easy to operate, and got us out to the flats and back home when we were on our own. The fishing is technical but excellent! I design flies our business, Fly Fishing Extras (www. etsy.com/FlyFishingExtras) and Discountflies.com. I was testing new patterns (R&D, somebody has to do it!) Even though the Bonefish on that side of the island have a reputation for being well-schooled on artificial shrimp patterns and very discriminating in what they will take, I found them very accommodating and rate my pattern tests at SDC as highly successful. The fishing with the guides in the Marls was absolutely incredible! All the guides were professional, personable, and put us on fish in numbers I could hardly imagine. When we weren't fishing, we kayaked (chad has two for guests), tried paddle boarding (with only limited success staying on the board) or walked along the beach. With the exception of one night when we went out to Pete's Pub for dinner and an awesome sunset, we made dinner at our cottages; grilling steaks, ribs and chicken. Groceries were readily available in Marsh Harbor at Maxwell's and we kept a good supply of beer and wine on hand from Bristol's liquor store. All in all, our stay at Sand Dollar Cove Cottages was exceptional. But, the icing on the cake each day was the canine companionship of Chad's two dogs, Sasha and Sheba, who came over and spent a good portion of each day with us! Nothing like a couple of dogs to make you feel right at home! Oh, and Chad's a great guy, too! We can hardly wait for our next visit to Abaco and the Sand Dollar Cove Cottages!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969First off - let me say that we are only half way through our stay and I could not resist writing a review already. The best way I can describe Sand Dollar Cottages is to be off the grid with all the comforts of home. Chad, the owner, has thought of everything. Upon arrival the first thing I noticed was how immaculately clean our cottage was. I managed high end hotels for years so my standards are very high - our accomdations could not of been better. Our cottage comes with a 14' foot boat but we have found that is all we have needed as there is a lot to explore - other cays and beaches nearby that are not Inhabitated. As a matter of fact - one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen in my life - Little Bay - is just a short boat ride away and completely deserted. We have found it unnecessary to rent another boat or use the ferry service as we everywhere we want to go is right outside our door in casuarina point. Chad has plenty of water toys so you can swim, paddleboard, kayak, snorkel or fish right here. We have caught enough fish already to fed a small army - and that's in the off season with no guides! Several things I love about being here: Chad is on the property. He is a wealth of information and he will go out of his way to get you whatever you want or need if it's not here already. His dogs - Sasha and Sheba are friendly and come over to visit as often as you like. If you have pets at home you are missing - Sasha and Sheba are excellent fill in's. You will feel very comfortable here - everything in the house is easy to find, there is a fully equipped kitchen, wifi, linens, towels and lots of extra's. We are less then 25 minutes from Marsh Harbour and it's an easy ride (as long as you remember to drive on the left side). You do need a car though as we have had to and wanted to run into town for various things. Overall, there is nothing more we could of asked for on this vacation. We are already thinking of returning and our friends that would enjoy this place just as much A few things to know: - a car is highly recommended - the bugs are BAD. Get bug spray on your way and rubbing alcohol as it soothes the itch immediately if you are bit. - Groceries here are about three times the cost in the states. (I.e. A bag of oreo's is $9.00). - Gas is about $6.00/gallon. Plan for that for the boat and car. Overall - I think we have found a regular vacation spot and would highly recommend!!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Excellent property! The cottage was in great shape, clean, and close to all the things we wanted to do while we were there. If you want to see Abaco, the property was centrally located for visits to Treasure Cay, Marsh Harbour, Hope Town, Little Harbour, south Abaco, etc. The beach, weather and water at Casuarina were delightful. Chad and family were full of information and we enjoyed talking to them. We are looking forward to returning within the next year.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Delightful, personable and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 day stay to sunny ABACO. Beach, shelling and the unofficial nature preserve nearby were highlights to add to our romantic holiday. Bring bug spray. Also, ask Chad about the private beach accross the shallow sea. PERFECT.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our 7 day stay at our sand dollar cottage. My first reaction was this place is spotless....My very important requirement for an enjoyable stay.We loved being off the beaten path so to say. I felt the comfort of the natural untouched beauty of this place. It fed my soul and restored my spirit. The night sky, without new jerseys light pollution was magnificent. Our host, Chad, was very helpful with any questions we had. Sassy was a delight. Oh, we loved having the opportunity to swim in sawmill blue hole. Hope to stay two weeks next time.
