The space
As you enter the resort you will drive through a beautiful tree canopy lined road. Feel the aloha with a breezy Hawaiian Style main entrance and lobby. You'll be encompassed in paradise with beautiful kept grounds, landscape, exotic pools, waterfalls, beaches, sunrises, and sweeping mountain views.

The Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort and Spa is a 25-acre Hawaiian plantation-style Condotell along a 3 mile stretch of beautiful beaches and blue water. Half the units here are privately owned and the other half are hotel owned.

This relaxing unit is an end unit on the quieter side of the resort where you’ll experience gorgeous waterfall views of the pools and sunrises right from your lanai.

Being on the ground floor has perks- no waiting around for elevators and trips to and from the pool are hassle free with direct pool access and being one of the closest units to the jacuzzi. The lanai is also double the size of the balcony units, allowing more private space to enjoy the beautiful views.

This unit is conveniently located just down the hall from the ice machine, filtered water dispenser, and the only laundry room at the resort.

This unit has two queen sized beds on brand new advanced gel memory foam mattresses. Most other units have either one king sized bed or two full sized beds.

On the Hawaiian inspired accent wall you will find upgraded lighting above each bed conveniently controlled by a switch and remote next to the beds so no need to get up and turn off the lights.

Additional electrical outlets were added during the remodel so all sides of the bed can have ample charging capabilities for electronic devices.

In the bathroom you'll find additional storage to help organize toiletries like a shelf above the sink, a storage rack under the sink, and basket. There is also a hairdryer in the bathroom.

On those lazy island days kick back and enjoy the oversized Smart TV with complete access to tons of cable channels along with smart TV capabilities.

A large refrigerator with a built-in freezer has been added. Inside the fridge you’ll have a 2 gallon water dispenser and an ice bucket so you can fill up at the filtered water dispenser/ice machine down the hall.

In the closet you’ll have two luggage racks, a to go beach cooler, two Tommy Bahama Beach chairs, an iron, ironing board, Pack and Play for the little ones, and a mesh laundry basket

18 inch tall bed frames were integrated so you can store your luggage under the bed and out of the way.

There is also a full sized dresser to store additional belongings in which you will find paper utensils such as paper plates/plastic utensils and a cutting board.

The room has a great central AC unit to keep the room comfortable.

Parking:

Check in procedure:

- Simply check in at the front desk of the resort with your name and booking info to receive your room keys.


House Keeping Services

- Daily maid service is not included when renting direct through Airbnb. The cleaning fee included in your payment to VRBO covers cleaning/re-stocking the room after your stay.

If you would like a mid-stay cleaning (maid service) for your room it is $65 each cleaning.


FAQ's

Do I have access to everything in the hotel as a non-hotel guest
- As a private guest you have full access to the pools, jacuzzis, the grounds, the beach, the business center, the restaurants, the lounge, the poolside bar, live music, the fitness room, coin laundry access and the Hawaiian Rainforest Spa and you’ll avoid paying the $25 per day resort fee charged by Kauai Beach Resort.

- However, the Hawaiian Cultural classes, which include classes like Hula and Lei Making are not included as part of your stay.

- Also the onsite hotel maids will not give you towels or toiletries.


What's the difference between renting on VRBO vs. the resort

- The $$$ price and also maid service. Renting direct through VRBO saves you a lot of money. However, daily maid service is not included. The cleaning fee you pay when booking takes care of cleaning and restocking the unit after your stay.

- The resort was previously a Hilton hotel, the units are just like hotel rooms. However, they are privately owned “condotels”. The resort operates much like a hotel, and most guests are not aware that the units are privately owned. Most of the units are offered to the public through the resort or through travel sites at much higher retail prices. Although, a few are offered on VRBO at owner rates with access to the resort’s amenities.

Can you cook in the unit and is there a kitchen/microwave

Local fire ordinances do not allow cooking in any of the rooms and there is no kitchen. However, there is a microwave in the lounge area on the 5th floor of Building 2 that can be used by all guests.

What is the local beach like

- The beach is very scenic with amazing sunrises and great for walks but is not considered a swimmable beach as it has a decent amount of coral and rocks. However, there are some great beaches to go swimming nearby.

Do I need a car

- We recommend that you have a rental car. The resort has most everything you need to have a wonderful time and relax. A car will allow you to experience many popular attractions, buying groceries, and going to many amazing restaurants etc. If you want a car for a day or two there is an on-site Enterprise car rental agency. The rates are higher but it is an option for a short rental.

Is there a free shuttle service from the airport to the hotel

- No. The shuttle service from the airport is not available to our guests. The resort does offer free shuttle service to/from the airport for guests who book through the resort. Kauai Beach Resort is close the airport which make taxi prices more reasonable. Uber also operates on the island!

Are there beach towels included in the stay

- Your stay includes 4 pool/beach towels.

Does the resort charge a resort fee

- Private owner guests are not required to pay the $25 daily resort fee.


Do I have to pay a daily parking fee

- Yes, if you have a car the resort charges $35 /day for parking. This fee is paid by the guest to Kauai Beach Resort at check-in.

Is there Wi-Fi

- YES! Wi-Fi is included in all the units and extends into the lobby, restaurants, bars and the pool area.

Does the unit have A/C
