Detailed Description:
Located at the base of the world-famous Palisades Tahoe, this property faces away from the main stroll in a quieter area of the Village. It is in the newest building, on the second floor, with views of Shirley Canyon. This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo sleeps up to 7 people thanks to its rare larger 998 square feet floorplan. Drop your outdoor gear in the spacious entrance which features a bench, closet space, and plenty of hooks for all your jackets, hats, and helmets.

The primary bedroom has a spacious king-size bed with new soft linen and a 2” gel mattress topper for a perfect balance of comfort, support, and an optimal sleep temperature. Unwind with the 32” flat-screen HDTV. The primary bedroom features Shirley Canyon views, large closet space and a chest of drawers. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed with new soft linen, a 2” gel mattress topper, and extra closet space. The Juliet balcony and sliding door provide additional light and views of Shirley Canyon. You can also entertain the kids with a 32” flat-screen TV in the second bedroom.

After a day of outdoor activities, relax in the living room in front of the stone hearth gas fireplace, large flat-screen 42” HDTV, and lay back in the 3-seat sofa, day bed, or armchair. At night, the sofa converts to a full-size bed with a brand-new orthopedic memory foam mattress and the day bed into a single bed. The kitchen is fully equipped and partially stocked with essentials. The granite counter extends to a breakfast bar with 4 stools. There is a dining area where 8 can dine comfortably, with French doors to the private balcony and views of Shirley Canyon.

You can stay connected with the FREE WIFI provided in this unit. There is also a secure/private ski locker in the lobby and underground parking for one car. There is little foot traffic by the front door since the condo is located towards the end of the corridor, next to the stairs. Taking the stairs, you are only a few steps away from the outdoor hot tubs, sauna, and fitness room which are off the same stairs one floor below. There is a large 14-person hot tub where kids can swim with a little more space and a more intimate round hot tub overlooking the valley. Towels are provided in the exercise, sauna, and hot tub area. For extended stays, a large laundry room with multiple washers and dryers is located on the first floor of the building.

This unit doesn't receive direct afternoon sun in the summer so has no air conditioning. A ceiling fan in the primary bedroom and two freestanding fans provide a quiet breeze on warmer days.

Activities

To entertain the kids, this building often has a free art/craft/game room downstairs off of the hotel lobby, but only during the winter holidays. You also have access to all other Village buildings common areas where you can find a pool table, a kid room with a foosball table, more hot tubs, saunas and exercise rooms. Several dining options are only steps away from the condo, from the very casual to the gourmet. Shopping opportunities also abound as you stroll through the Village. There is even a great little market/drug store where you can buy food (even special diet items such as gluten-free) and anything you may need without having to drive to a supermarket.

Olympic Valley and Palisades Tahoe have activities for everyone in your family.

In the winter, enjoy skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, back country expeditions and more. The Village at Palisades offers snow tubing, yoga, fire pits and gourmet food trucks. Catch a free shuttle to the Everline Resort for ice skating and sledding on the groomed hill (walk a free steps towards the chair lift and you will see the sledding area.) Enjoy a meal with spectacular views at High Camp after touring the Olympic museum.

In the summer, you can play a round of golf, climb rocks on the Via Ferrata, take a hike, enjoy a horse ride, rent a bike or hang on a ropes course. At High Camp, you can play on the 9-hole disc golf, roller skate and practice geocaching. More activities await you after a short drive to Lake Tahoe where you can swim, boat, kayak, and float on pristine blue waters.

We try to offer this condo for less than what the Village on-site management charges. We do our best to pass as much savings as we can to all of our guests. Daily housekeeping is NOT included in these discounted rental rates but can sometimes be arranged directly through us should you desire for a fee. Advance notice is needed and only available during non-holiday timeframes. For all hospitality service during your stay, you will need to contact us directly.

    Great amenities, clean rooms and ample space. Had a great time with family. It would be great if check in time is 3 PM instead of 4 PM and check out time is 11 AM instead of 10 AM, though when I called in my 11 AM check out request was honored.

    Overall great location and nice 2 bedroom condo. Nicely maintained and the management company was easy to deal with and timely with the requisite info for check-in. The building itself has nice amenities and was very clean well managed. No serious complaints about the stay and would definitely rent this unit again on the next trip to Tahoe.

    My family needed some quality family time together to recharge and reconnect. This 2BRs 2BAs was great for what we needed. We had our own space to escape to when needed and a common area that we were able to enjoy each other's company. The only downside to this place is that it did not have AC. We were there during a heat wave and the weather was almost unbearably hot. There were fans provided but it was difficult to have any true airflow into the unit and any air coming in was hot air. With that said, we had a great time.
