Very gorgeous apartment clean spacious easy people to deal with lots of amenities location close to lots of things definitely would stay again

The location is abt 20-25min walk to the downtown area. Be aware there are a lot of homeless people located near the property. We stayed 3 nights, we did not have any issues during our walk but chose to drive to the d-twn area the other 2 nights instead of walking...safety 1st & we are NY'ers. The wifi didn't work well At All! The host Sue said Haven't had any issues with ours so I would suggest unplugging... Her suggestion did not work. There are 5 units in 1 building - so our guess is the wifi is divvied up b/w the units. Primary unit could possibly be on their own server. Over all I would recommend this property, terrific location, parking, decently clean, some supplies & mattress was very comfortable. Our suggestion: don't depend on their wifi, be careful when walking, bring pillows & maybe ear plugs, the ceiling fan in the b/rm makes noise, the reusable Keurig cup did not fit, the k-cup coffee offered was stale so bring your own & don't count on the barn door to close.

My wife and I loved our all too brief stay here. Sue and Bart are terrific owners and we’re quick to respond to questions. Our daughter and family just moved to JAX and we hope to stay here again and again!

Stayed here for almost 3 months. Here for business. The apartment could not have been better. Everything you need is there and the location is perfect for exploring Jacksonville and the surrounding area. The inside of the apartment is very relaxing, a great place to be after a long day. This is where you should stay if your here for a couple of days or a couple of months! I have been traveling back and forth to Jax from Virginia for 10 months, and this is the best place I stayed, by far. Do yourself a favor and book JaxHouse. David

My family and I were in Jacksonville not for vacation, but to take care of a loved one in the trauma ward at UF Health. The main reason we picked this place was its distance to the hospital (only a 5 minute drive). We hoped it would offer a comfortable bed and a nice quiet neighborhood, but weren't expecting much. Thankfully both the bed and couch were extremely comfortable. Additionally the neighborhood was very safe and quiet. We ended up in two of Bart and Sue's apartments (1 and then 3) and highly recommend both. Excellent amenities and a very relaxing stay allowed us to rest and recharge before going to the hospital daily. One of the apartments we stayed in offered a balcony which was so nice after a long day to just have a tea on or work from. But both apartments have access to a really lovely backyard. Checking in and out were a breeze. As was parking on the street every night. Only minor inconvenience were a lack of laundry detergent, large trash bags, and a kitchen sponge in one of the apartments but we were so drained and it was the last night of our stay that it wasn't really much of an issue. They had everything else like dishwasher pods, hair dryers, and even dryer sheets that it just stood out. Probably an oversight by the cleaning crew and I'm sure had I noticed earlier and communicated it, the items would have been provided. You can hear people walking around on the hardwood upstairs if you have an upstairs neighbor, but not much of an issue for me as I'm used to it and it wasn't too distracting. Thanks for the stay. Hope this review helps. I would highly recommend this place if you need a week off to rest and refresh from whatever drains you in life.

What an amazing stay! It's hard to put into words how awesome our experience here was and how great Sue and Bart were as on-site hosts. My husband, our pup, and I stayed here for a month while we were looking for a home for purchase in Jacksonville FL after moving across the country, and we could not have picked a better spot. This unit's beautiful, airy/industrial loft, huge comfy couch, well equipped kitchen, laundry in-unit, and a beautiful balcony made our stay so easy. And Sue and Bart were so helpful and kind with regular recommendations for local events and bike/run routes to explore. We loved the communal garden/grill area out back as well. This place felt like a luxury urban vacation and home all at once. We were sad to leave Jax Brickhouse after we moved into our home! Thanks for everything, Sue and Bart!!

Bart and Sue were amazing hosts, very responsive to communication and helpful with area tips and really, anything we needed. The property is very comfortable and in a super location to get downtown, walk the beautiful Springfield neighborhood or just relax on the balcony or backyard garden. Highly recommend!! We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the Jax Brickhouse, it is so close to the Florida Theatre....we will be back. Very Clean and Charming VRBO.

We really enjoyed our time here— an historic neighborhood close to downtown. Safe, secure building — everything you could want in a charming, enormous loft! The owners are wonderful!
